They have won awards from the Contemporary A Cappella Society(Best Comedy Song, 2004), The Harmony Sweepstakes (2003 International Finals runners-up), had their music included on compilation albums (Doctor Demento Basement Tapes 2005, Sing II 2005) and played live shows in front of audiences around the United States. Their tight harmony and eclectic humor have charmed audiences through two albums and countless live performances. To handle all the performance requests they receive, moosebutter has several casts of performers. They perform with three, four, or five singers, depending on the show, and have done just about every kind of show you can imagine (Punk rock show? Check. National television? Check. Wedding reception? Check.). Chris * John Tesh's Worst Nightmare Although over-zealous fans frequently mistake him for the 9th Beatle, Chris is actually the 10th. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in music. He adds that elusive electro-funk-opera vocal sound that is so much of moosebutter's signature sound. Chris collects DVDs and, on special occasions, watches them. Chris is currently petitioning Fox to start the "American Idol: Older People" contest. Weston * The One-Man Marching Band Once called "A Mexican John Belushi" (Logan, Utah, March 19, 2004), Weston is not Mexican (half Argentinian), named John (he's from Cleveland, after all), or named Belushi (but he did for a while date a girl named Belushi - that was her only name, because she was a pop singer). Weston graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Marketing and Advertising. For employment he now does both, though not at the same time, and not for at least 45 minutes after eating a large meal. Weston is currently in a tree flinging empty pizza boxes at celebrities. Mister Tim * The Human Vending Machine Mister Tim sings in a kajillion a cappella groups and is also a one-man a cappella band, composer, teacher, and conductor. Mister Tim has a Bachelor of Arts degree, Vocal Performance emphasis, from the University of Utah, and studied for a Masters degree in Choral Conducting at the University of Colorado. Mister Tim is on the Board of Directors of the Contemporary A Cappella Society Mister Tim has children. Regularly. Glen * The Envy of Stupid People Everywhere A self-proclaimed Air Force BRAT, Glen is actually a nice guy. While at Brigham Young University he was integral in starting the group "Integral" and he broke the norm with his other group, "Norm." Be still my heart, I'm funny. Glen is a computer programmer, so if you get him angry and he goes nuts, don't say we didn't warn you. Glen is currently engaged in a staring contest with a ring-tailed kinkajou. Jeremiah * Calling him "the bald one" would be too easy You can call him "Jer"; you can call him "Jar"; just don't call him "Jar-Jar". As well as singing baritone with moosebutter, Jeremiah has sung (has singed? has sang? sanguine?) screamy-high soprano with Vocal Point (not to be confused with Vocal Point or Vocal Point). Jeremiah one day hopes to actually talk to a woman. Richard * The Robot Richard used to sing with the college a cappella group Mile 21 from the University of Colorado. He currently sings with several pro a cappella groups, and makes furniture. Also, he is a ROBOT Peter * The crooner Peter likes to lay down with his ear on the ground until he hears a herd of something or a large something coming towards him, then he gets out of the way. He is a student at the University of Colorado, Boulder. He does tricks if you give him a milkshake. It has to be a really good milkshake. [View \| Download]	Maya Pedal Asociación, San Andrés Itzapa, Guatemala In 1997, in San Andrés Itzapa in Guatemala, Maya Pedal Association began recycling scraps of bicycles into Bicimáquinas. Bicimáquinas are pedal-powered blenders, washing machines and threshing machines, eliminating the need for fuel and electricity. Pumps are also possible, and are capable of extracting 30 liters of water per minute from 30-meter deep wells (electronic pumps reach just to 12 meters). The idea of these ingenious contraptions emerged from the desire to help the farming families of the San Andrés community. The issue that gave rise to Maya Pedal was the expense and shortage of electricity and fuel in the village. Carlos and Cesar, creators of Maya Pedal, have achieved an extraordinary result: a worthy project that does not pollute and is extremely fascinating in its involvement of volunteers from around the world who are building a fantastic pedal revolution. Currently there are four different versions of the video for "Smooth Criminal," as well as an additional vignette created for the 2009 This Is It concert series: * Original Moonwalker Version - This is the version included in the Moonwalker film - while technically the whole "Smooth Criminal" segment is about 40 minutes long, the actual "Smooth Criminal" song section is only about ten minutes. It is generally the most complete version of the video and includes the unedited middle section of interpretive dance with the dancers but does not include the last six seconds where a flapper fans herself after the door is shut behind Michael. In comparison to the original song this version has two lines in the second stanza added: "Everytime I try to find him he's leaving no clues left behind him. And they have no way of knowing of the suspect, or what to expect". * Moonwalker Edit - This version is included on History on Film, Volume II and it is basically an edited version of the ten minute song section from the "Smooth Criminal" segment in the film Moonwalker. It is essentially the same, however it has some minor changes including: different opening music and no dialogue, the middle section with the dancers chanting has been truncated (some of the chanting has been shortened) and ends similarly to the original where Michael exits the club but with the addition of the lead flapper fanning herself. Being a PAL to NTSC transfer (the Moonwalker DVD has only been released in PAL regions), this version suffers from blurred colors and other artifacts. Also, despite having almost a minute cut out from the middle section, this version is approximately the same length as the original video, due to the PAL speed-up phenomenon. * Album Version - This is the version of the video that is on Michael Jackson's official website, as well as his YouTube channel. It also appears during the end credits for Moonwalker and was included on the "Visionary" single. It is essentially a lot of clips from the Original Moonwalker Version of the "Smooth Criminal" video, that have either been sped up, or slowed down, with an added blur effect, and some alternate angles. The video is four minutes and seventeen seconds long. Throughout the video, the regular version of the song is played. This version is also the version sold in the iTunes Music Store. * Single Version - This unreleased version is edited to be in sync with the Single Mix taken from the "Smooth Criminal" single released October 24, 1988. It excludes the added lyric & interlude. This video is four minutes and three seconds long. It is considered an MTV Base video. * This Is It Vignette - 2009 video, shot in black and white and intended to be shown during the London O2 concert series. It runs three minutes and forty-two seconds and features Jackson in a reprisal of his Moonwalker character, digitally inserted into the sets of various film noirs, including Gilda. [View \| Download]	Maya Pedal Asociación, San Andrés Itzapa, Guatemala In 1997, in San Andrés Itzapa in Guatemala, Maya Pedal Association began recycling scraps of bicycles into Bicimáquinas. Bicimáquinas are pedal-powered blenders, washing machines and threshing machines, eliminating the need for fuel and electricity. Pumps are also possible, and are capable of extracting 30 liters of water per minute from 30-meter deep wells (electronic pumps reach just to 12 meters). The idea of these ingenious contraptions emerged from the desire to help the farming families of the San Andrés community. The issue that gave rise to Maya Pedal was the expense and shortage of electricity and fuel in the village. Carlos and Cesar, creators of Maya Pedal, have achieved an extraordinary result: a worthy project that does not pollute and is extremely fascinating in its involvement of volunteers from around the world who are building a fantastic pedal revolution. Currently there are four different versions of the video for "Smooth Criminal," as well as an additional vignette created for the 2009 This Is It concert series: * Original Moonwalker Version - This is the version included in the Moonwalker film - while technically the whole "Smooth Criminal" segment is about 40 minutes long, the actual "Smooth Criminal" song section is only about ten minutes. It is generally the most complete version of the video and includes the unedited middle section of interpretive dance with the dancers but does not include the last six seconds where a flapper fans herself after the door is shut behind Michael. In comparison to the original song this version has two lines in the second stanza added: "Everytime I try to find him he's leaving no clues left behind him. And they have no way of knowing of the suspect, or what to expect". * Moonwalker Edit - This version is included on History on Film, Volume II and it is basically an edited version of the ten minute song section from the "Smooth Criminal" segment in the film Moonwalker. It is essentially the same, however it has some minor changes including: different opening music and no dialogue, the middle section with the dancers chanting has been truncated (some of the chanting has been shortened) and ends similarly to the original where Michael exits the club but with the addition of the lead flapper fanning herself. Being a PAL to NTSC transfer (the Moonwalker DVD has only been released in PAL regions), this version suffers from blurred colors and other artifacts. Also, despite having almost a minute cut out from the middle section, this version is approximately the same length as the original video, due to the PAL speed-up phenomenon. * Album Version - This is the version of the video that is on Michael Jackson's official website, as well as his YouTube channel. It also appears during the end credits for Moonwalker and was included on the "Visionary" single. It is essentially a lot of clips from the Original Moonwalker Version of the "Smooth Criminal" video, that have either been sped up, or slowed down, with an added blur effect, and some alternate angles. The video is four minutes and seventeen seconds long. Throughout the video, the regular version of the song is played. This version is also the version sold in the iTunes Music Store. * Single Version - This unreleased version is edited to be in sync with the Single Mix taken from the "Smooth Criminal" single released October 24, 1988. It excludes the added lyric & interlude. This video is four minutes and three seconds long. It is considered an MTV Base video. * This Is It Vignette - 2009 video, shot in black and white and intended to be shown during the London O2 concert series.
