This programme was held in the newly constructed hall of Goush-e-Durood in the central secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International. Nazim-e-Ala Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, the office-bearers of Bazm-e-Qadria and other leaders received the respected guest on his arrival at the Secretariat. The teachers of COSIS were also present at the occasion. Pir Sayed Zia-ud-Din Qadri Al-Gillani presided over the meeting. Sahibzada Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, Mufti Abdul Qayyum Khan Hazarvi and other leaders were present among the guests. Qari Khalid Saeed Qadri recited verses from the Holy Quran to start the proceedings of the programme. Hafiz Anser Ali Qadri presented Naat. 'Manqabat' was also offered in the honour of Huzoor Sayedna Ghous-e-Azam (RA). Mufti Abdul Qayyaum Khan Hazarvi presented the welcome address and expressed his deep gratitude to Pir Sayed Zia-ud-Din Qadri Al-Gillani upon his arrival at the Central Secretariat. He said that his presence in the secretariat was a matter of honour for the organization and its affiliates, which reminded of the periodic visits of Qudw-tul-Aulia to the Central Secretariat and the University where he would spare special time for the students of the University. Addressing at the occasion, Principal of COSIS and Nazim-e-Ala Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi said that the saints had been guiding the Umma in every age. They also played important role in reforming their disciples along spiritualistic lines. The Silsila Qadria of mysticism was actively engaged in spreading the spiritual message of Huzoor Ghous-e-Azam like other spiritual schools of thought. He said it was a matter of immense pleasure and privilege that Pir Sayed Zia-ud-Din Qadri Al-Gillani graced the occasion. He is popularizing the message of his revered father. He prayed to Allah to keep him under the spiritual guidance of Huzoor Ghous-e-Azam. In his speech, Sahibzada Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that the spiritual journey of Umma was due to the guidance and direction of the saints and different spiritual schools of thought. The presence of saints represents Divine Mercy upon the Umma in every age. Today the Friends of Allah were present in every region engaged in spreading spiritualism. The chain of Aulia is like a garden and Allah Almighty deputed His Friends for every Umma. He said we are privileged that our spiritual journey is under the guidance of Huzoor Ghous-e-Azam. The role of Aulia is like a channel. As there is a power Grid Station for the electricity system by which power is transferred onward, likewise, the spiritual chain of saints also exists. He said we should be proud of our association with the family of Huzoor Ghous-e-Azam. We would have to resolve today that we would keep this spiritual association intact. Love and the slavery of the Holy Prophet (saw) are our faith and touchstone of our life and death. The notes the Sheikh mentioned: Khadija Al-Kubra Khadija was born 15 years before the year of the Elephant and was married twice before Muhammad [sallallahu alaihi wasallam]. She had two sons from her first marriage and a daughter,named Hind from her second union,hence Khadija was known by the name Umme Hind. She was also known as Thahira,the pure,and her children born before her marriage to the Prophet,accepted Islam and are known as Banu Thahira. Muhammad [alaihis salaam] began working for her in his mid twenties,and could have possibly been referred to her by Nafisa,a mutual friend. After observing his honest and righteous ways,she proposed marriage and they married,he 25 and she nearly 40. She bore him 2 sons,al-Qasim and Abdullah as well as his daughters who survived to adulthood,Zainab,Ruqaiya,Umme Kulthoom and Fathima tuz Zahra. She passed away on the 20th of Ramadaan,3 years before the Hijra age 65. Her passing is believed to be just after the family was released from exile in the Vale of Abu Talib,she was buried in the cemetery of Makkah,Jannatul Ma'la. The above is a brief historical view of her life. From a spiritual perspective,Khadija shared many moments in the life of the Messenger that defined the Call to Islam. Her personal position in his life,remained unsurpassed by anyone. The Revelation She was responsible for comforting him upon his return from the cave in the hours after the first revelation. She ultimately believed in him and is considered the first Muslim. Spending in the path of Allah In the initial days of Islam the primary financial burden borne by the Muslims was the freeing of convert Muslim slaves from their tyrant disbelieving masters. Entertaining guests who traveled for the purpose of inquiring about Islam was another expense. Khadija used her wealth generously in both causes. Salaah and Purification In many narrations that feature Jibreel coming to the Messenger and demonstrating prayer and purification,Khadija is in the incident. Though these narrations are not regarding the 5 daily prayer,they refer to prayer in general. "Jibreel came to the Prophet when the prayers were mandated and dug with his heel in a corner of the valley.......the Prophet took Khadija's hand and brought her to the spring and she did wudhu as Jibreel had done wudhu." The Everlasting Love of the Messenger The Prophet throughout his life continued to recollect his days with Khadija. Even objections raised by Aisha did not deter him from often mentioning her and expressing concern for her family and friends. The Dua of the Messenger Before her passing the Messenger gave her the glad tidings of a house of hollowed pearl in Jannah,in which there is no fatigue or clamor. The Prophetic Lineage The bloodline of the Prophet,the descendants of Hasan and Husein[ra] continue today. Their mother is Fathima and off course her mother is Khadija. No other line of the Prophet continues but this one.
