فضيحة هيفاء وهبي Haïfa Wehbe ou Hayfa Wehbi (arabe هيفا وهبي) est née le 10 mars 1970 à Beyrouth au Liban. C'est une mannequin et une chanteuse libanaise qui s'est fait connaître dans le monde arabe à la sortie de son premier album Howa el-Zaman. Enfant elle aimait écouter de la musique et en particulier le jazz et le R'n'B. Elle devient mannequin très jeune, et devient à l'âge de 16 ans "Miss Sud-Liban". Elle obtient la deuxième place à l'élection de Miss-Liban 95, ce qui lui permet de défiler pour de grands couturiers, et de poser dans une centaine de magazines. Haifa Wehbe a fait de nombreux scandales durant les années 90. Mais par tous ses coups médiatiques, elle se crée une image tantôt choquante et appréciée, communément à d'autres célébrités américaines. Notamment avec sa fille, dont elle a caché l'existence et perdu la garde, ce qui lui vaut sa plus grande baisse de popularité. On attribue généralement son succès à ses chansons, mais aussi à son physique. Bien qu'elle soit un mannequin elle a eu recours à la chirurgie esthétique : notamment au niveau de la poitrine et du nez (mode très répandue au Moyen-Orient), mais également aux niveaux des rides, car , contrairement aux autres chanteuses arabes, elle s'approche de la quarantaine d'années. Ses opérations sont moins accentuées que d'autres chanteuses arabes, en notant que les qualités physiques contribuent souvent à leur célébrité, surtout par leur interventions de vidéos musicales. Chanteuse très connue au Moyen-Orient, où ses clips sont très regardés par toute la société arabe surtout en Égypte et en Syrie, on la compare souvent à ses rivales potentielles : Nancy Ajram, Elissa et Myriam Fares. Elle sort son deuxième album, Badi 'Aish en 2005. En juillet 2005 elle participe à un jeu de télé-réalité panarabe, une version libanaise de La Ferme Célébrités. Ce qui lui vaut beaucoup de critique, mais ce jeu conforte sa popularité dans le monde arabe. À la fin 2005, elle devient le nouveau visage de Pepsi au Moyen-Orient. En 2006, elle a été élue par le magazine Askmen.com, 49e femme la plus belle du monde. Au cours d'un tournage de clip dans un aéroport militaire de Riak (Valée de bakaa),Haifa a été hospitalisée d'urgence après avoir failli se faire écraser par le petit avion qui devait la poursuivre pour les besoins de la scène. Elle en est sortie indemne, avec uniquement des égratignures sur le visage et des maux de tête.
