Classic vintage antique motorcycles motorcycle bikes British, German, Japanese, Italian, European, American motorcycles were all on display. Manufacturers on display included Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, BMW, Harley Davidson, Vincent, Triumph, BSA, Norton, Brough Superior, Lawrence of Arabia, T.E. Lawrence, Seven Pillars of Wisdom, Jay Leno, Leno has nothing on us, we love you Jay, Leno's Garage, Indian, Cushman, Vespa, Laverda, Puch, Lambretta, MV Augusta, Ducati, Matchless, Zundapp, Moto Guzzi AJS and more. There were 100% perfect restorations,bike ridden in, and a trailer queens ( not size queens go to craigslist for that ) full-on customs, cafe racers, choppers, bobbers, trials bikes, dirt bikes, road racers...any type or style motorcycle you could image. The show was held at the Kansas City Airline History Museum http://www.airlinehistorymuseum.com at the Kansas City Downtown Airport. Inside the huge hangar were two classic vintage antique passenger airplanes planes: a Douglas DC-3 and a Martin 404. Right outside the hangar was a 1958 Super Constellation, or Super Connie. Mustang Juniors 1965-67 powered promotionals By roadkillontheweb Built in 1965, 66 & 67 these were used for dealership promotions to bring customers into their showrooms, normally being dragged by their kids! As the kid took test drives the parents were easy picking for the salesmen. Often they were given away in drawings that would give the salesmen contact names and addresses to call on later. They were made in electric and gas powered versions and would be considered a Go Kart by today's standards but would actually be better described as a powered promotional. This video just covers the Mustangs but they made many others from 1955-67 including Mercurys, Plymouths, Thunderbirds. I even have the factory molds for the 65-66 Mustang and 1957, 58-60 T-Birds. Clymer 1958 Vespa GS 1952 Lambretta Mark I 1 1961 Cushman Vintage Antique Classic Scooter Motorcycle By ClymerManuals http://www.clymer.com 800-262-1954 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lambretta Lambretta was a line of motor scooters originally manufactured in Milan, Italy by Innocenti but also manufactured under licence by Société Industrielle de Troyes (S.I.T.) in France, NSU in Germany, Serveta in Spain, API in India, Pasco in Brazil, Auteca in Colombia and Siambretta in Argentina. In 1972, the Indian government bought the Milanese factory and the rights to the Lambretta name, creating Scooters India Limited (SIL). Today, the Innocenti brand name rights are owned by Fiat whereas the oldest Lambretta and Lambro trademark registrations are owned by Lambretta Consortium and are licensed to various companies who want association with the iconic brand. Like Vespas, Lambrettas have 3 or 4 gears and two stroke motors with capacities ranging from 49cc to 198cc. Unlike the Vespa, which was built with a unibody chassis pressed from sheets of steel, Lambrettas were based around a tubular frame, although the J series model produced from 1964 through 1971 did have a monocoque body. Early versions were available in closed, with fully covered mechanicals or open, with minimal panels and thus looking like an unusual motorcycle. The model A and model B were only available in open style. The D models were noted for their torsion bar rear suspension, the D model outsold every other 2 wheeled vehicle combined at its peak. Along with the Vespa, Lambretta was an iconic vehicle of the 1950s and 1960s when they became the adopted vehicle of choice for the UK youth-culture known as Mods. The character Jimmy from the influential scooter movie Quadrophenia rode a Lambretta Li 150 Series 3. Of the 1960s models, the TV Turismo Veloce, the Special 125 and 150, the SX Special X and the GP Grand Prix are generally considered the most desirable due to their increased performance and refined look, the matt black fittings on the GP model are said to have influenced European car designs throughout the 1970s. These three models came with a front disc brake made by Campagnolo. Lambrettas have attracted an eclectic following of revival mods, collectors, scooterists, cutdown enthusiasts, and even racers. Common modifications include a Nikasil plated aluminium barrel with radical porting, large DellOrto or Mikuni carburettors and bespoke expansion chambers. Hydraulic disc brakes in the front are becoming common on the more tuned ones as are hydraulic clutches and rear brakes. The company was started in Lincoln, Nebraska by Everett and Clinton Cushman. The company officially incorporated as Cushman Motor Works in 1913. Until 1936 it produced engines for farm equipment, pumps, lawn mowers and boats. From 1936 till 1965 it produced motor scooters, widely used by the US military in World War II and as alternative to automobiles before and after the war. The most successful model of Cushman scooter, the Eagle, was in production approximately 16 years. It resembled motorcycles with its exposed engine and top tank. Other Cushman models used a step-through design common for scooters and used by Vespa to develop their iconic range. Some late 50s Cushmans, designated Road King and Pacemaker, had jet-age body styling.
