Thermo King Unveils New Innovations at MATS 2011 Thermo King Unveiled Three Innovative Solutions to Help Customers Improve Operational Efficiency and Drive Down Costs at the 2011 Mid-America Trucking Show At the world's largest trucking show, Thermo King announced new products to help customers become more successful As transporters continue to face a number of significant challenges in their operations, a key issue top of mind with most companies is the price of diesel fuel — which has already risen more than 20 percent this year alone. At the 2011 Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Ky., Thermo King, a manufacturer of temperature control systems for a variety of mobile applications and a brand of Ingersoll Rand, demonstrated once again that it understands the current challenges its customers are facing and unveiled three new solutions to help address rising fuel costs. Doug Lenz, director of transport product management at Thermo King, announced three new solutions to help customers do more with limited resources by spending less money and delivering higher quality goods to customers. Thermo King built the new and innovative solutions around the specific needs of its customers to help them be successful at maximizing uptime, improving efficiency and reducing costs. While the new product innovations are designed to improve fuel efficiency, they also deliver additional environmental improvements due to a reduction in diesel emission. Thermo King also was proud to donate one of its TriPace APU systems to David Acosta, the winner of this year's "Back on the Road" contest announced at the Mid-America Trucking show. "Back on the Road" honors a trucker who has triumphed over his or her unfortunate circumstances. In addition to the TriPace APU, prizes include a 2007 Volvo VNL 780 truck, insurance, fuel cards and other goods and services as well as a one-year work agreement with Heartland Express. In addition to announcing the new products, April Braun, aftermarket marketing director at Thermo King, presented: "10 Easy Ways to Save Money Now," which highlights simple steps fleet owners and operators can take to put more money in their pockets by increasing the operational efficiency and sustainability of their fleets.
