Eadweard Muybridge: Cat in trot changing to gallop

Still frames from Eadweard Muybridge's Animals in Motion series assembled into a movie for reference. The original motion was timed at .035 seconds. This video does not maintain that speed and is designed as a educational reference to show the body mechanics of the cat in motion. The original notes indicate images 1-10 as trotting. Images 11-24 changing into a gallop. (you can see hand written numbers in the lower left) Please note: the quality on the original still frames is very rough. These were some of the first "motion pictures." it is my understanding that these images are in the public domain.
