Acidente de carro por causa de Torpedo msm Celular 2/2 By MarceloDias27 Um vídeo produzido com poucos recursos pela polícia de um condado do País de Gales se tornou um dos mais novos sucessos do site YouTube ao usar imagens fortes na simulação de um grave acidente de carro. O filme tem como objetivo alertar jovens sobre os perigos de se enviar mensagens de texto por celular (os chamados "torpedos") ao mesmo tempo em que dirigem. Nele, uma adolescente se distrai ao volante durante poucos segundos ao digitar uma mensagem em seu telefone e seu carro acaba atingindo outros dois. As imagens mostram duas amigas da jovem sendo projetadas contra as janelas e em seguida mortas, além dos corpos dos ocupantes de outro carro, inclusive um bebê. O filme custou cerca de US$ 20 mil e usou estudantes do condado de Gwent como atores. Nenhum deles recebeu cachê, mas o sucesso do vídeo fez com que a principal atriz, a jovem Jenny Davies, decidisse tentar uma carreira profissional no meio. O vídeo foi inicialmente exibido em escolas no País de Gales, e ainda neste ano uma versão de 30 minutos deve ser mostrada em toda a Grã-Bretanha. Além do YouTube, o filme foi exibido por várias emissoras de televisão dos Estados Unidos, onde um projeto de lei que proíbe o envio de mensagens de texto ao volante espera aprovação pelo Senado. Torpedo Hits Battleship This is a pretty cool video of a torpedo blowing up a destroyer. The torpedo doesnt actually hit the destroyer, but it detonates a few meters under it, causing a big void. PACIFIC Ocean (July 16, 2008) - HMAS Waller (SSG 75) sinking an unidentifed decomissioned U.S. Navy ship with a Mk 48 Mod 7 CBASS torpedo. The firing occurred during the Rim of the Pacific 2008 (RIMPAC 08) exercise, involving multiple navies off the coast of Hawaii between June and July. This controlled exercise resulted in the planned sinking of a retired US warship. The MK 48 Mod 7 Common Broadband Advanced Sonar System (CBASS) torpedo is the latest enhancement for the MK 48. Considered the world's premier submarine-launched torpedo, the MK 48 Mod 7 represents a superior capability against both surface ships and submarines with sonar enhancements that make the torpedo an effective weapon in shallow water and in a countermeasure environment. The development of the CBASS torpedo has been achieved under an Armaments Cooperative Program between the United States Navy (USN) and the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). This partnership has established common requirements, interfaces, configurations and maintenance standards enabling any Australian or US submarine to load torpedoes prepared by any Australian or US torpedo maintenance facility.
