TOBIAS ARACAJU -SERGIPE) Cenas do filme "Capitães da Areia", produção americana baseada no livro de Jorge Amado. Gravado na Bahia no final dos anos 60 e lançado em 1971 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NvhpCB... Carrossel do Tobias foi construído nos Estados Unidos da América nos século XIX e chegou a Aracaju no ano de 1904. Era a grande atração das festas de final de ano, sendo armado todos os anos no Parque Teófilo Dantas, centro da Capital. Segundo o Memorialista Murillo Melins em seu livro Aracaju Romântica que vi e vivi anos 40 e 50, o Carrossel do Tobias passou por vários donos, entre eles os senhores Garangau, Edson e Juvenal, de 1904 até 1926, quando o venderam aos senhores Alcino Teles e Plácido, que o administraram até o ano de 1928, ocasião em que foi transferido para o senhor Juvenal, que o conservou até 1936, quando o vendeu a seu parente homônimo Juvenal Menezes, que ficou sendo seu proprietário até 1959. Em 1959 o Vereador Milton Santos compra o Carrossel pelo preço de CR$ 300.000,00, com o pagamento em 02 parcelas. O Carrossel funcionou sob a direção do Vereador Milton Santos até o ano de 1984, quando foi vendido ao Estado. O "Carroussel!, é um brinquedo por sí só muito attrahentee inofensivo às próprias crianças. O seu movimento é seguro, não dando lugar nunca a accidentes, por mais veloz que seja a sua carreira. A decoração é agradabilíssima e as suas montadas ou carroagens offerecem magnífico confôrto aos senhores passageiros.
