I realize I said "um" alot at the beginning, but, well, this is my first time. Your pathetic quite. anyway.(do I have a japanese accent? Japanese is my first language so... yeah, just curious) Very simple, just watch, and tell me if its simple, or if its too hard. Here are a few pointers: for trick #1: 1. Learn the correct hand/pen holding position 2. Master the transition 3. Be able to lift it up from the transition 4. Be able to perform the first trick smoothly 5. Be able to perform the first trick 20 times without letting the pen fall off. Practicing everyday helps a lot, once mastered, you'll find yourselves doing this a lot for trick two: 1. Basically the same as above. 2. Be able to do trick 2 and trick 1 together 3. Be able to do trick 2 and trick 1 very smoothly Its important for you to have already mastered trick 1 BEFORE, you try trick 2, it will be Wa~~~~y easier that way for trick 3: 1. Same as above 2 2. Perform the first down spin correctly 3. Perform the second down spin correctly 4. Perform the first and second down spin correctly 5. Perform all 3 tricks smoothly 6I haven't gotten here yet. I find that the covers people respond to most are the most sincere and passionate ones, regardless of any other external factors. I absolutely LOVE this song, and apart from the very "new-age" message, This Is War is a melodically monstrous album. Increeeedibly fun and expressive songs to play along to. An interesting note.. we reskinned the kit right before we started recording, so the skins naturally went out of tune a little, and we had to keep an eye (ear?) on them. The snare, on the other hand, completely went out of tune towards the end of No More Sorrow (which was recorded right before this) and we only noticed it at the end of the recording of Vox Populi. This was a huge problem since I was too tired to try and "replicate" my first REAL performance, but since I've mixed MUCHHH worse recorded audio, I was brave enough to give it a go :) That's why this snare tone is completely different than the rest of the series, much less tone and resonance and MUCH more attack. I find that the covers people respond to most are the most sincere and passionate ones, regardless of any other external factors. I absolutely LOVE this song, and apart from the very "new-age" message, This Is War is a melodically monstrous album. Increeeedibly fun and expressive songs to play along to. An interesting note.. we reskinned the kit right before we started recording, so the skins naturally went out of tune a little, and we had to keep an eye (ear?) on them. The snare, on the other hand, completely went out of tune towards the end of No More Sorrow (which was recorded right before this) and we only noticed it at the end of the recording of Vox Populi. This was a huge problem since I was too tired to try and "replicate" my first REAL performance, but since I've mixed MUCHHH worse recorded audio, I was brave enough to give it a go :) That's why this snare tone is completely different than the rest of the series, much less tone and resonance and MUCH more attack. The entire project, beginning with Lady Gaga's shoot in NYC on May 8th, to shipping materials to the television networks for air, took 10 days. Within hours of the release of her new single "Edge of Glory" on May 9th, fans began uploading videos on YouTube, making the song their own by dancing to it, singing it and playing it on all kinds of instruments. Lady Gaga then posted a message on her website asking for more videos to be used in the film project. Fans responded within minutes and uploaded hundreds more videos. Back in the editing room, in real time as fan videos streamed in, editors were putting them into the film. The film was completed on May 18th in time to air during Lady Gaga's performance on the season finale of Saturday Night Live, and to also live on the web.
