Allegro moderato *NOTE: This was from a movie, so Heifetz skips a LOT of the first movement due to time constraints. He skips nearly half of the piece, and so does the orchestra. So please don't ask for second or third movements because I do not have them. You also get to see a bit of Heifetz acting at the end. A great treat! Conductor: Fritz Reiner This is my favorite rendition of the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto. I think Heifetz played a bit faster than in his recording. RED ORCHESTRA: Overture to War By hockeywarrior After countless hours of toil and sweat, I am very proud to present to you my latest cinematic Red Orchestra short film, RED ORCHESTRA: Overture to War. Unlike my previous films, Overture to War is completely centered around musical selection. As a musician myself, I wanted to step out of the box and base an action-packed drama completely around a musical piece. For Overture to War, I chose Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture," because it is a great work of art in itself and really captures the fury and unforgiving conditions in war. Like my other films, this one is completely UNSCRIPTED, and uses clips from online battles on public servers, without the players knowing they were being filmed.
