Protein synthesis: an epic on the cellular level By miraclemart Directed in 1971 by Robert Alan Weiss for the Department of Chemistry of Stanford University and imprinted with the "free love" aura of the period, this short film continues to be shown in biology class today. It has since spawn a series of similar funny attempts at vulgarizing protein synthesis. Narrated by Paul Berg, 1980 Nobel prize for Chemistry. Reverse reaction and dynamic equilibrium By kosasihiskandarsjah Decomposition of carbon carbonate into carbon oxyde and carbon dioxide in a closed system would create reverse reaction until the synthesis reaction rate is equal to the decomposition reaction rate. The system is called at dynamic equilibrium. Protein Synthesis? By JDSchwarzMT What's Protein Synthesis you may be asking yourself? If you are like me. You have spent many nights lying awake asking yourself the vital question, "Exactly WHAT IS Protein Synthesis." Now just for you there is a video that truly shows exactly what protein synthesis is. Prepare to be amazed. It's amazing. This epic real life account shows you the process and all you would ever need to know. Written and produced by famed writer Michael Josh-Nickington and directed by Grace Mijoni who also directed the famous video "A look at the life of three dudes during the gilded (sp?) age," comes this epic tale of what is happening many times inside your body. Watch and enjoy the video. You'll laugh, you'll cry, and you will comment also. Now go, watch and enjoy. ((Popcorn is also very nice to have while watching)) ((Buttered of course, none of that nasty fat free stuff that many kids are interested)) ((Oh, and make a nice meaty sandwich...you need the protein)) ((Bye)) Tags: biology, catron, josh, michael, nick, protein, synthesis 1 Downloads - Last from: http://downthisvideo.com/ (Your Blog here!) |

Protein Synthesis, Translation (3) By neurocirujo Protein Synthesis, Translation Translation - the process of converting the mRNA codon sequences into an amino acid polypeptide chain. 1. Initiation - A ribosome attatches to the mRNA and starts to code at the FMet codon (usualy AUG, sometimes GUG or UUG). 2. Elongation - tRNA brings the corresponding amino acid to each codon as the ribosome moves down the mRNA strand. 3. Termination - Reading of the final mRNA codon (aka the STOP codon), which ends the sythesis of the peptide chain and releases it.
