Elvis vs Michael Jackson: A Time For Armageddon By ElvisTheTribute TO ALL THE MJ FANS ALL OVER THE WORLD: 2 days have now passed and I am still in a total state of shock, disbelief and hurt. Like most kids growing up in the 80s I loved Michael. In fact, I was an MJ fan long before I discovered Elvis. I want you to know, I genuinely feel for you in this time of grief. Personally I feel like I have lost a friend and all my life I have lived in a world where Michael Jackson has always been with us; it is totally unbelievable to think that he is no longer around and I still can't quite comprehend it. I made this video a couple of months ago as a good-natured comparison between Elvis and MJ, and put up the text at the end which says "there will only ever be 1 King- Elvis". But now this video has taken on a whole different meaning. ELVIS and MICHAEL JACKSON- no-one else even begins to come close to them. I was too young in 1977 to fully understand or experience any grief when Elvis died; but Michael's death has hit me very hard. The Elvis fans are the only ones who can understand how the MJ fans are feeling. We should stop arguing with each-other about who was better, who was more successfull, who was more influential- Elvis and MJ are 2 sides of the same coin: Both were so talented, so loved and both are immortal. It really is possible to be both and Elvis fan and a Michael Jackson fan... I really hope we can put our differences aside and be united with each-other.
