anti-skating, whats it for?, how it works and how to adjust it properly This is a video showing you what the anti-skate does, how it works and how to set it correctly on a turntable. Having your anti-skating set up correctly will minimize jumping and increase sound quality. Please note that different turntables will be slightly different in the placing and the units of measurement on the anti-skating but essentially there all the same thing. please note also that turntables with a straight tone arm as apposed to a s shaped tone arm my not have an anti-skate dial if it doesnt it because it doesnt require anti-skating as most straight tone arms dont. Different types of stylus will need different amount of anti-skating, for example elliptical needles will require less anti-skating because they are sharper (but will ware your records out quicker) Spherical needles will require slightly more anti-skate because they are more rounded (but will make your records last longer) Also needles with different weight rating will require different amounts of anti-skating heaver needles will need less anti-skating because there is more weight holding it into the groove and the opposite applies for lighter needles. SlateDroid Review - Eken M001/Haleron iLet Mini HD An HD video review of the increasingly popular Eken M001. Specs: -800mHz Processor -128mb Ram -7" TFT Resistive touch panel -Resolution = 800x480 -2gb Internal Storage -SD Card slot (up to 32gb) - Comes with: -MSN -Documents to go (Full Version - Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint) -Music Player -Video Player -Ebook Reader -Photo browser -Facebook -Youtube -Web Browser The screen is very responsive, I was expecting it to be the standard unresponsive, hard to press touch screen we're I'm used to from previous china electronics but I found this was quite the opposite. The overall design is good and the hardware buttons feel very sturdy, they give quite a firm click when you press them. I would recommend getting a screen protector if you buy one of these devices as the screen felt very soft under my nail. I have an iPad screen protector on mine that I cut down to fit. It does come with a screen protector but it's pretty useless as it has bubbles which cannot be pushed out and is too big for the screen. The battery lasted about 4 hours for me, despite the manual suggesting it only has 2 hours of battery life, I think this was because I had the brightness turned right down and had all sounds turned off, however I did have the WiFi running. You can see in the video that the screen isn't dark even with the brightness turned down. The photos load EXTREMELY quickly, infact they load quicker than my Samsung Galaxy Portal (i5700) and my Mum's Iphone, this is a major plus for me. For some reason I can only get it to play Flash (.FLV) videos at the moment but I'm sure I can get around that. As you can see I've purchased a stylus for mine as I find it easier than using my fingers for things like photo editing, and I didn't want to get my hands in the way of the camera.
