Synopsis: In the 1930s, Foshan thrives as the hub of Chinese wushu, with various sects actively recruiting disciples. They often compete against each other to prove their strengths. While Yip Man is an accomplished martial artist, he is unassuming and keeps a low-profile, and doesn't run any martial arts school nor accept students. He only stays at home, quietly sparring with his compatriots in friendly competitions, swapping pointers with each other. One day, Yip Man (Donnie Yen) is challenged by Master Liao (Chen Zhi Hui), who just set up a wushu school, in a closed match. Yip Man's buddy Martial Zealot Lin (Xing Yu), who witnessed the entire fight, tells everyone about Master Liu losing. Seeing it as a public humiliation, Master Liao gets into disputes with Yip Man. Henchmen of Jin Shan Zhao (Fan Siu Wong) are going around challenging various wushu schools in Foshan. In one fight, Martial Zealot Lin is mortally wounded. Yip Man comes to his rescue, only to be stopped by Jin Shan Zhao. Everyone gathers around to watch the match whereby Ip Man dispenses the latter with ease using four Wing Chun Forms: fist, footwork, blade and cudgel. Ip Man becomes an instant hero and there develops a craze for Wing Chun in Foshan. Following Japanese invasion in 1937, everyone's life is adversely affected. Yip Man's property is confiscated and his family is forced to live in a decrepit house. Being one with strong pride, Ip Man refuses charity from his wealthy friend Zhou Qing Quan (Simon Yam), owner of a cotton mill, opting instead to work as a coolie at a coal mine to sustain his family. One day, General Miura (Hiroyuki Ikeuchi), together with his troops, arrives. As a fanatical practitioner in martial arts himself, he sets up an arena, offering rice as a reward. However, to another high-ranking Japanese officer Sato's (Shibuya Tenma) mind, they cannot afford to lose, they must preserve Japanese superiority and dignity. My Special Car: Numeri entusiasmanti testimoniano lo straordinario sviluppo della quinta edizione di My Special Car Show, il Salone dell'Auto Speciale e Sportiva che si è svolto a Rimini Fiera dal 13 al 15 aprile e provano il diffondersi della passione per la personalizzazione dell'automobile fra le aziende, gli operatori economici e il pubblico. L'edizione 2007 della manifestazione ha infatti contato 95.365 visitatori, 6.726 operatori economici, 293 rappresentanti dei media, 291 espositori - di cui 117 esteri provenienti da 20 paesi - 221 premiazioni e 14 fra conferenze stampa e incontri. Il lay-out del Salone è stato disegnato su una superficie di oltre 91.500 metri quadrati suddividendo l'area espositiva tra le più grandi aziende italiane ed europee di Tuning e Car Entertainment, i raduni degli appassionati e le attività dinamiche proposte nelle due aree esterne. L'edizione 2007 di My Special Car Show ha visto inoltre un ulteriore aumento del numero delle Case Automobilistiche presenti, dodici in totale: BMW con il marchio Mini, Citroen, Daihatsu, DaimlerChrysler con i marchi Mercedes-AMG e smart BRABUS, Fiat, General Motors con Opel, Kia, Peugeot, Seat, Subaru, Volkswagen e Volvo. Alle Case Costruttrici presenti si è aggiunta anche la Galleria Ferrari. Quest'anno la manifestazione ha riservato 10.000 metri quadrati alle aree esterne per le attività proposte da Subaru e da Castrol mentre, fra gli eventi, My Special Car Show 2007 ha visto la consegna del premio AUTO EUROPA TUNER da parte di UIGA (Unione Italiana Giornalisti dell'Automobile) a Subaru per il modello Impreza STI. Anche la quarta edizione di My Special Club 2007, il raduno dedicato ai club di appassionati di tuning di My Special Car Show -- che quest'anno ha avuto come partner AsConAuto (Associazione Nazionale Consorzi Concessionari Auto) Beta, Mak, Radio Stella, SecurPneus e Yokohama - ha confermato un consistente trend di crescita. I dati di quest'anno - 1235 automobili presenti, 143 club partecipanti, 35.840 metri quadrati di superficie occupata e 55 premiazioni - confrontati con i numeri dell'edizione precedente, forniscono le proporzioni di un incremento costante dell'evento:il numero delle vetture è infatti aumentato del 22%, i club del 21%, la superficie occupata del 12% e le premiazioni del 30%. Secondo un'indagine effettuata sugli iscritti di My Special Club 2007, i partecipanti hanno un'età media di 26 anni, provengono per il 56% dal nord Italia e per il 44% dal resto della penisola, sono grandi appassionati di internet -- circa il 70% di loro naviga molto spesso -- e utilizzano abitualmente l'automobile con cui hanno partecipato al raduno. Inoltre, il 67% degli intervistati partecipa abitualmente a raduni e il 22% ha visitato l'edizione 2006 del Motor Show di Bologna. Infine, una curiosità: per raggiungere My Special Club, gli appassionati -- provenienti da tutta l'Italia, dall'Austria, dal Belgio e dalla Svizzera - hanno percorso circa 339.230 chilometri totali. Analoga è la portata dello sviluppo qualitativo del raduno espresso dal livello delle auto esposte, da un programma di eventi sempre più dinamico e dal coinvolgimento di partner importanti. My Special Club, in sole quattro edizioni, è così divenuto l'evento di riferimento in Italia ma, ancor più importante, si è confermato il più grande raduno indoor europeo. I motivi di una così rapida affermazione sono nella particolare formula di questo evento: My Special Club è infatti un raduno incentrato sulla realtà dei club, che offre ai partecipanti l'opportunità di esporre la propria vettura e di condividere esperienze, creatività ed emozioni.
