How to Make Your Rubik's 4x4 Faster By Thrawst ...by reducing lockups. Ok, fine you can call it the "Thrawst mod," I prefer "Squircle Mod" Worked for me, twice! I can confirm that this also works on a Meffert's / Cleffert's 4x4. Will work better if the 4x4 is a little worked in to begin with. Final note, be sure that you don't shave down the corners too much as that will actually induce more lock-ups, which is what we're trying to reduce.
