Capcom officially announced Resident Evil 5 on July 20, 2005,[2] and is scheduled for release on March 12, 2009 in Japan, and March 13, 2009 in North America and Europe. Jun Takeuchi, the game's producer, stated that Resident Evil 5 will feature similar gameplay to Resident Evil 4. The player will control Chris Redfield similarly to how the player controlled Leon S. Kennedy in Resident Evil 4. The game's environment will also play a significant role. Also, the game implements various lighting effects. If Redfield moves between bright and dark areas his eyes will have to adjust, causing the player to briefly lose some visual of their surroundings. The player will be able to take cover and dodge (using a similar control scheme in God Hand). The Mercenaries minigame, which was featured in both Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 4, will also make a return in Resident Evil 5. The game will also feature new types of enemies. The extended E3 2007 trailer revealed several sequences involving Redfield attacking hordes of fleet-footed enemies, who possessed melee weapons. Takeuchi has also stated the game's enemies will also possess human-like intelligence and awareness. I'm used to hardcore racing sims and it's been 15+ years since I spent any time with MK. I had about an hour with the machine actually running Mario Kart, since we built it for another project, and the video you see was the first take. Also, I had some specific goals (the jump, the bumps, the mole) that made driving well secondary. 2. The reaction speed is quite good - about 10ms from game event to machine motion. Watch during the jumps. 3. I tried it with a 'normal' 301 using the steering wheel. It's next to impossible, because the control inputs are on/off, not analog, so you have to whip the wheel back and forth like a madman. We'd have to write code to pulse-width-modulate the output from the wheel. Plus, it's Mario Kart. You -have- to play it with a gamepad. 4. Yes, FZero would be very cool. Maybe it's time to write that pulse width modulation output... [View \| Download]	Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals Symphonic Rock Remix: "The Very End" Out of everything I've done so far, this would have to earn the top spot for me. It's not balls out metal like all of my previous remixes; this is a much more mellow interpretation of various themes from Lufia & The Fortress of Doom as well as Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals. I originally planned to have lyrics in this piece (as performed by my good friend starla (known as injury on OverClocked Remix)), and one day I may move forward with this when I can write some that don't sound absurdly cheesy. There is one line of spoken dialogue near the end, from a pal of mine named DrumUltima (who also happens to be doing vocals on my upcoming solo album. Oops, I wasn't supposed to mention that). The purpose of the piece is to evoke a melancholy and remorseful feeling as it visits the various themes throughout; the first being the theme of the floating island as Maxim, Selan, Guy, and Artea fight their way through the Sinistral's hordes. Following that is a take on Iris' theme, as her true identity is revealed and her course in the story finally explained. After that, a very few brief pieces of battle music, until the line of dialogue is spoken. "Just rest; I'll hold you until the very end. I promise." While not taken directly from the game, I imagined it to be something Maxim would say to a dying Selan, their fates both firmly sealed as the floating island came crashing down to the earth below. Capcom officially announced Resident Evil 5 on July 20, 2005,[2] and is scheduled for release on March 12, 2009 in Japan, and March 13, 2009 in North America and Europe. Jun Takeuchi, the game's producer, stated that Resident Evil 5 will feature similar gameplay to Resident Evil 4. The player will control Chris Redfield similarly to how the player controlled Leon S. Kennedy in Resident Evil 4. The game's environment will also play a significant role. Also, the game implements various lighting effects. If Redfield moves between bright and dark areas his eyes will have to adjust, causing the player to briefly lose some visual of their surroundings. The player will be able to take cover and dodge (using a similar control scheme in God Hand). The Mercenaries minigame, which was featured in both Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 4, will also make a return in Resident Evil 5. The game will also feature new types of enemies. The extended E3 2007 trailer revealed several sequences involving Redfield attacking hordes of fleet-footed enemies, who possessed melee weapons. Takeuchi has also stated the game's enemies will also possess human-like intelligence and awareness. Furthermore, he stated they will be different from the previous ganados.[4] In an interview with XBOX360ISM, Keiji Inafune briefly stated that the game will feature some online elements. Resident Evil 5's main story mode can be played with two players, in a co-operative online mode. The feature will allow players to enter or leave anytime during the game. I'm used to hardcore racing sims and it's been 15+ years since I spent any time with MK. I had about an hour with the machine actually running Mario Kart, since we built it for another project, and the video you see was the first take. Also, I had some specific goals (the jump, the bumps, the mole) that made driving well secondary. 2. The reaction speed is quite good - about 10ms from game event to machine motion. Watch during the jumps. 3. I tried it with a 'normal' 301 using the steering wheel. It's next to impossible, because the control inputs are on/off, not analog, so you have to whip the wheel back and forth like a madman. We'd have to write code to pulse-width-modulate the output from the wheel. Plus, it's Mario Kart. You -have- to play it with a gamepad. 4. Yes, FZero would be very cool. Maybe it's time to write that pulse width modulation output... [View \| Download]	Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals Symphonic Rock Remix: "The Very End" Out of everything I've done so far, this would have to earn the top spot for me. It's not balls out metal like all of my previous remixes; this is a much more mellow interpretation of various themes from Lufia & The Fortress of Doom as well as Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals. I originally planned to have lyrics in this piece (as performed by my good friend starla (known as injury on OverClocked Remix)), and one day I may move forward with this when I can write some that don't sound absurdly cheesy. There is one line of spoken dialogue near the end, from a pal of mine named DrumUltima (who also happens to be doing vocals on my upcoming solo album. Oops, I wasn't supposed to mention that). The purpose of the piece is to evoke a melancholy and remorseful feeling as it visits the various themes throughout; the first being the theme of the floating island as Maxim, Selan, Guy, and Artea fight their way through the Sinistral's hordes. Following that is a take on Iris' theme, as her true identity is revealed and her course in the story finally explained. After that, a very few brief pieces of battle music, until the line of dialogue is spoken. "Just rest; I'll hold you until the very end. I promise." While not taken directly from the game, I imagined it to be something Maxim would say to a dying Selan, their fates both firmly sealed as the floating island came crashing down to the earth below.
