Our Father - as sung by Jack Marti By guitmartiman Here's a simple, but beautiful version of the Lord's prayer which I learned in a Catholic guitar mass many years ago. As I recall, the way they did it was a little more upbeat, but I have taken the liberty to slow it down and make it a little more meditative. Normally, each line should be repeated or echoed, but I thought I'd sing it this way in hopes that someone might want to do a collaboration with me and add the echoed lines. Also if one wanted to use it as a devotional, one could just sing the echoed lines along with this recording in the privacy of their own homes. Moody Bible Institue, Wheaton ( billy Graham went there ) and Princeton Theological Seminary. Is the bible Authentic? Who wrote the bible?, How did it get changed?, Why did it get changed? Are you aware of the changes? Most blindly read the bible and never question it, agreeing with teaching of all kinds and variations today and never get around to challenging the very basis of what they believe, and base their lives on. Settling for ignorance instead of finding something that might leave them questioning who they are without what they believe in. Many never get the chance to give their lives to study manuscripts, to chat with scholars, and see what probably 99% of christians will just take at face value. Bart and many scholars have done the foot work and uncovered significant things which if a person is willing to question, could change much of what they believe. This is worth watching, and the book is worth reading for people who can handle looking at their faith objectively. If anything it will help you to consider how the bible came together, who was involved, and how we have todays version.
