Fados de Carlos Saura Mariza, Camané, Lura, Carlos do Carmo, Lila Downs, Chicho Buarque, Miguel Poveda, Toni GArrido, Caetano Veloso... Fados es la nueva obra de arte del premiado director Carlos Saura y la última instalación en su ciclo musical iniciado hace mas de 15 años con Sevillanas (1992), Flamenco (1995), Tango (1998 - Nominada a los premios Oscar la la mejor película extranjera), Salomé (2002) e Iberia (2005). Usando Lisboa como fondo, la película explora la intrincada relación entre la música y la ciudad, así como la evolución del fado a través de los años, desde sus orígenes Africanos y Brasileños hasta la nueva ola de Fadistas modernos.
