Robot suit developed to help the vulnerable
By itnsource

Japanese researchers develop a robot suit that can help the elderly and infirm walk or lift heavy objects. The robot suit dubbed "Hybrid Assistive Limb 5", was developed by Yoshiyuki Sankai, a professor from the University of Tsukuba. "We have developed a robot suit which can expand, amplify and support the functions of human body," Sakai said. "By wearing the robot suit, people suffering from stroke or from brain damage can lead their daily lives independently."

The suit is equipped with sensors that detect electric nerve signals transmitted from the brain when a person tries to move his or her limbs. When the sensors detect the nerve signals, the computer starts up the relevant motors to assist the person's motions.

ROBO-ONE 10: Ivre vs. MYRO
By tempusmaster

The Ivre vs. MYRO battle was kind of like David vs. Goliath. Ivre is relatively tiny, yet very quick on its feet. MYRO is huge - around 5 kg. and takes a little longer to get around. This bout was to determine which robot would go on to fight for the Championship against King Kizer. For more information visit Robots Dreams at http://www.robots-dreams.com

Discobot - My Funny Day ( RSV2 vs. Madonna) robot
By strahlung

A day in a discobot's life. Watch him getting alive, his speedy walk thru a german town named Bad Schandau and his performance at a "disco", surrounded by lasers and other lights.
By the way, someone else posted my video long times before me here on tube, after I brought this clip online in a robot-forum. Well, thanks for "promotion", I was really surprised about finding my clip already online ;) Just to have the clip in my own channel, I uploaded him too. Enjoy!

Jellyfish robot: AquaJelly & AirJelly - ROBORAMA.info
By roborama

GO TO http://www.sexy-robots-videos.com and http://ROBORAMA.info for more life-like robots information, videos and photos.

Festo, has developed a graceful robot inspired by a creature of the sea. In fact, they have developed two versions, both based on the common jellyfish: the AquaJelly and the AirJelly. According to Festo, the AquaJelly is "an artificial autonomous jellyfish with an electric drive and an intelligent, adaptive mechanical system." Apparently the idea is to have several of the robots autonomously working together using a communication system composed of Zigbee short-range radio on the surface and LEDs when underwater.

As for the AirJelly, this remote controlled device can glide through the air using a helium-filled ballonet, a central electric drive and an intelligent, adaptive mechanical system. Apparently, this design offers "fascinating possibilities for "lighter-than-air" aviation." I'm not sure about all of that, but I can at see how the technology behind the AquaJelly could have some practical application on complex underwater projects.

BLADESTAR TV Ad
By WowweeUniverse

FlyTech Bladestar™ , a revolutionary indoor flying machine, changes helicopter flight as we know it! The exclusive Autopilot Mode with sensor-based navigation enables it to glide through the air, avoiding ceilings and flying away from obstacles -- or use just your hands to guide it! Alternatively, take full control of the FlyTech Bladestar flyer using its 3 channel digital IR remote controller. Face-off two FlyTech Bladestar flyers in a mid-air battle: Attach the Dogfight accessory to the remote controller, and press the Fire button to take down your opponent, when in range!

Made from light "high-flex" materials and designed to be crash-resistant, FlyTech Bladestar flyer is built for indoor use. When it starts to lose speed, simply recharge it on the remote controller until it is ready for its next flight!
