Esselworld (Part 1) It was 3pm when we reached the Gorai ferry port to reach Esselworld. Usually people reach there early so that spend the whole day there. As a reward for reaching late, we got a full ferry just for ourselves, me and my brother-in-law. I was ready with my camcorder to make a video. However, whatever happened later was unplanned and spontaneous and so I enjoy watching this video very much. Morocco Traveler HD INFO ON LOCATIONS BELOW - Shot in HDV at 1080i with a Sony HC9 and Daiwa DST-1 lightweight tripod. The only accessory is a wide angle adaptor. If you are interested in making good vacation videos I highly recommend you carry a tripod. The opening scenes are of a ancient village called Ait-Ben-Haddou This ksar, a group of earthen buildings surrounded by high walls, is a traditional pre-Saharan habitat. The houses crowd together within the defensive walls, which are reinforced by corner towers. Ait-Ben-Haddou, in Ouarzazate province, is a striking example of the architecture of southern Morocco. Alt-Ben Haddou was also used as a location in Ridley Scott's Gladiator. The desert scenes were shot in the Sahara just outside Merzouga. Overnight Camel rides are offered in Merzouga. The donkey parking lot was filmed at the Asni market at the foot of the Atlas Mountains. This is followed by scenes from the Atlas mountains shot from very cool eco-lodge known as kasbah du toubkal just up from the village of imlil. The sunset water scenes were filmmed in Essaouira on the Atlantic Coast. The post sunset town seen is Fez. The POV shot walking through a dark Casbah Alley is in marrakech. Kain Saul Backflips a XR1200 Harley Davidson to dirt 12:55pm Saturday 28 November 2009. The first time in the world that a Harley Davidson has been back flipped to Dirt. Kain Saul from the Gold Coast-Australia, was the mad man behind the bars. The XR1200 Sportster was supplied by Harley Davidson Australia and prepared by Gavin Walker and co from Quick Fix Harley Davidson Mildura, The bike tips the scales at 257 kilo and has around 100 horsepower. Here are the modifications they made: -STD Harley Street rod rear shocks -Tag handle bars -Strengthened triple trees -WP front forks with heavier springs and valving -Chain drive with the standard swing arm -KTM front master cylinder the rear brake pedal was removed -Knobby tires The jump took place in Victoria at one of Cam Sinclair's practice compounds that is owned by Russ and the boys. Cam Sinclair is the first person to throw a double backflip into a freestyle run. He was there to give a hand, he is pretty handy at flipping things. Filmed and edited by Firestorm Films.
