El Vaticano publica la ley para acoger anglicanos en la Igle By romereportsesp El Papa ha firmado la norma canónica que permite la creación de Ordinariatos personales para los anglicanos que quieran hacerse católicos. La nueva ley les permite mantener muchas de sus tradiciones. El documento es una Constitución apostólica y se llama Anglicanorum coetibus, es decir grupos de anglicanos. El Vaticano subraya que no pretende atraer anglicanos a sus filas sino sólo responder a los obispos, sacerdotes y laicos de la Iglesia anglicana que ya han pedido al Papa ser acogidos en la Iglesia católica. A partir de ahora puede haber uno o varios ordinariatos de ex-anglicanos por cada conferencia episcopal. Por ejemplo, habrá uno o varios ordinariatos para Estados Unidos, uno o varios para Canadá, o uno o varios para Francia. Los ordinariatos serán creados por la Congregación para la Doctrina de la Fe, el departamento del Vaticano que estudia las situaciones especiales, como la de los sacerdotes anglicanos casados. La principal novedad es que el Papa nombrará ordinario a uno de los tres candidatos que le proponga el consejo de gobierno de cada Ordinariato. Los obispos anglicanos casados serán recibidos sólo como sacerdotes, pero podrán ser ordinarios. O sea que gobernarán a sus fieles, pero no podrán ordenar sacerdotes u obispos. En cualquier caso, el ordinario tendrá los mismos poderes que los obispos de las diócesis católicas. Por ejemplo, podrá crear órdenes religiosas, intervenir en la conferencia episcopal o establecer una parroquia. Por norma, le ayudará a gobernar un consejo de gobierno formado por al menos 6 sacerdotes y otro consejo le ayudará a administrar las finanzas. Sólo podrán formar parte del ordinariato católicos procedentes de la Iglesia anglicana, quienes deberán manifestar por escrito su voluntad de hacerse católicos. El Vaticano calcula que pasarán algunos meses antes de que se cree el primer ordinariato anglicano. Según cifras oficiales, al menos 50 obispos han pedido ser acogidos en la Iglesia católica junto con sus fieles.
