This programme was held in the newly constructed hall of Goush-e-Durood in the central secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International. Nazim-e-Ala Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, the office-bearers of Bazm-e-Qadria and other leaders received the respected guest on his arrival at the Secretariat. The teachers of COSIS were also present at the occasion. Pir Sayed Zia-ud-Din Qadri Al-Gillani presided over the meeting. Sahibzada Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, Mufti Abdul Qayyum Khan Hazarvi and other leaders were present among the guests. Qari Khalid Saeed Qadri recited verses from the Holy Quran to start the proceedings of the programme. Hafiz Anser Ali Qadri presented Naat. 'Manqabat' was also offered in the honour of Huzoor Sayedna Ghous-e-Azam (RA). Mufti Abdul Qayyaum Khan Hazarvi presented the welcome address and expressed his deep gratitude to Pir Sayed Zia-ud-Din Qadri Al-Gillani upon his arrival at the Central Secretariat. He said that his presence in the secretariat was a matter of honour for the organization and its affiliates, which reminded of the periodic visits of Qudw-tul-Aulia to the Central Secretariat and the University where he would spare special time for the students of the University. Addressing at the occasion, Principal of COSIS and Nazim-e-Ala Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi said that the saints had been guiding the Umma in every age. They also played important role in reforming their disciples along spiritualistic lines. The Silsila Qadria of mysticism was actively engaged in spreading the spiritual message of Huzoor Ghous-e-Azam like other spiritual schools of thought. He said it was a matter of immense pleasure and privilege that Pir Sayed Zia-ud-Din Qadri Al-Gillani graced the occasion. He is popularizing the message of his revered father. He prayed to Allah to keep him under the spiritual guidance of Huzoor Ghous-e-Azam. In his speech, Sahibzada Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that the spiritual journey of Umma was due to the guidance and direction of the saints and different spiritual schools of thought. The presence of saints represents Divine Mercy upon the Umma in every age. Today the Friends of Allah were present in every region engaged in spreading spiritualism. The chain of Aulia is like a garden and Allah Almighty deputed His Friends for every Umma. He said we are privileged that our spiritual journey is under the guidance of Huzoor Ghous-e-Azam. The role of Aulia is like a channel. As there is a power Grid Station for the electricity system by which power is transferred onward, likewise, the spiritual chain of saints also exists. He said we should be proud of our association with the family of Huzoor Ghous-e-Azam. We would have to resolve today that we would keep this spiritual association intact. Love and the slavery of the Holy Prophet (saw) are our faith and touchstone of our life and death. For example, Allah has sent the Quran and Sunnah as a complete code of life which includes code of conduct from personal life to governing the state. But as a counter, Satan has created Secularism.... Then he went on giving definition of secularism from different sources (in English). Then he summarized the definitions of secularism as: (1), separation of religion from state and politics, (2), religion will be confined only to personal matters, (3), religion mandated regulations cannot be considered in state affairs, (4), secularism requires separating society, economy, education and state completely from Islam. Afterwards he said secularism is poisonous and is a curse for mankind as it confines Islam only to personal life separating it completely from state affairs. Secularism is a man-made ideology that negates the ideology of Allah and therefore is a Kufr. Islam is the only code of life revealed by Allah, The Lord of the Universe. This code of life encompasses the whole gamut of human life. It does not only prescribe beliefs but also the norms of behaviour. Its guidance covers all spheres of human activities, both spiritual and material." END. Figure of spiritual and social leadership Allama Delawar Hussain Saydi (alternative spellings Delwar Hossain Sayeedi, Delowar Hossein Saeedi) is one of the most prominent Islamic Scholars' in Bangladesh. A very prominent Islamic personality and politician, a former Member of Parliament and one of the most prominent leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh. Allama Saydi has selflessly devoted himself to the work of Islam and remained actively involved in Tafseer of the Qur'an. He has travelled widely teaching and lecturing in various countries in the Middle East, Europe, North America and Asia. Many of his inspirational lectures are recorded and are widely available. His extensive knowledge, command of Arabic, Urdu, Bangla and English language together with his natural ability and eloquence in conveying the teaching of Islam have convinced thousands of Hindu and Buddhist into the fold of Islam and moved the hearts of millions around the world and continue to do so. Struggle & Persecution The influence of Allama Saydi is not confined to those associated with the Jamaat-e-Islami. His influence transcends the boundaries of parties and organisations. His main contribution, however, has been in the fields of the Qur'anic exegesis (Tafseer), ethics, social studies and the problems facing the movement of Islamic revival. His efforts on establishing a truly Islamic state and society in the country, consistent with this objective, he lectured profusely to explain the different aspects of the Islamic way of life, especially the socio-political aspects. This concern for the implementation of the Islamic way of life led Allama Saydi to criticise and oppose the policies pursued by the successive governments of Bangladesh and to blame those in power for failing to transform Bangladesh into a truly Islamic state. The rulers reacted with severe reprisal measures. On 29th June 2010, the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Dhaka ('CMM') issued warrants of arrest against three top Jamaat leaders; amongst them was Allama Delawar Hussain Saydi, in connection with a vexatious case. The allegation against them was that they had hurt the religious sentiment of the people (a secular government indicted religious leaders for hurting religious sentiments?). Following his arrests, so far he was taken to police remand for a period of 28 days, The remand is almost like torture chambers, where people are kept in sub-human conditions and the police interrogate them unnecessarily even in the small hours of the morning. Some of the arrested leaders were physically abused. Bangladesh Although Bangladesh is poor, it has unexploited natural and mineral resources. Islam has a bright future in this small but populous Muslim country, which is situated in the far end of South Asia and geographically separated from the rest of the Muslim world. The Muslims in this delta are passing through a difficult time. Some foreign governments and agencies have joined hands with the present government in Dhaka to marginalise Islam and the Islamic Movement. Muslims all over the world have a duty to come to the aid of their fellow brothers and sisters in Bangladesh. "All of our tears fall to a thirsty earth that has seen centuries of oppression of man by the hand of man. We turn to the One true God and pray that He makes their evil intentions 'like dust in the wind'." Mishary Rashid Alafasy - Surah Mulk (The Dominion) Sheikh Mishary Rashid Alafasy recites Surat Mulk (The Dominion), chapter 67 of the Glorious Qur'an in a studio. Beautiful MashaAllah! Translation to the nearest meaning: In The Name of Allaah The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful... 1. Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion, and He is Able to do all things. 2. Who has created death and life, that He may test you which of you is best in deed. And He is the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving; 3. Who has created the seven heavens one above another, you can see no fault in the creations of the Most Beneficent. Then look again: "Can you see any rifts?" 4. Then look again and yet again, your sight will return to you in a state of humiliation and worn out. 5. And indeed We have adorned the nearest heaven with lamps, and We have made such lamps (as) missiles to drive away the Shayatin (devils), and have prepared for them the torment of the blazing Fire. 6. And for those who disbelieve in their Lord (Allah) is the torment of Hell, and worst indeed is that destination. 7. When they are cast therein, they will hear the (terrible) drawing in of its breath as it blazes forth. 8. It almost bursts up with fury. Every time a group is cast therein, its keeper will ask: "Did no warner come to you?" 9. They will say: "Yes indeed; a warner did come to us, but we belied him and said: 'Allah never sent down anything (of revelation), you are only in great error.'" 10. And they will say: "Had we but listened or used our intelligence, we would not have been among the dwellers of the blazing Fire!" 11. Then they will confess their sin. So, away with the dwellers of the blazing Fire. 12. Verily! Those who fear their Lord unseen (i.e. they do not see Him, nor His Punishment in the Hereafter, etc.), theirs will be forgiveness and a great reward (i.e. Paradise). 13. And whether you keep your talk secret or disclose it, verily, He is the All-Knower of what is in the breasts (of men). 14. Should not He Who has created know? And He is the Most Kind and Courteous (to His slaves) All-Aware (of everything). 15. He it is, Who has made the earth subservient to you (i.e. easy for you to walk, to live and to do agriculture on it, etc.), so walk in the path thereof and eat of His provision, and to Him will be the Resurrection. 16. Do you feel secure that He, Who is over the heaven (Allah), will not cause the earth to sink with you, then behold it shakes (as in an earthquake)? 17. Or do you feel secure that He, Who is over the heaven (Allah), will not send against you a violent whirlwind? Then you shall know how (terrible) has been My Warning? 18. And indeed those before them belied (the Messengers of Allah), then how terrible was My denial (punishment)? 19. Do they not see the birds above them, spreading out their wings and folding them in? None upholds them except the Most Beneficent (Allah). Verily, He is the All-Seer of everything. 20. Who is he besides the Most Beneficent that can be an army to you to help you? The disbelievers are in nothing but delusion. 21. Who is he that can provide for you if He should withhold His provision? Nay, but they continue to be in pride, and (they) flee (from the truth). 22. Is he who walks without seeing on his face, more rightly guided, or he who (sees and) walks on a Straight Way (i.e. Islamic Monotheism). 23. Say it is He Who has created you, and endowed you with hearing (ears), seeing (eyes), and hearts. Little thanks you give. 24. Say: "It is He Who has created you from the earth, and to Him shall you be gathered (in the Hereafter)." 25. They say: "When will this promise (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) come to pass? if you are telling the truth." 26. Say (O Muhammad ): "The knowledge (of its exact time) is with Allah only, and I am only a plain warner." 27. But when they will see it (the torment on the Day of Resurrection) approaching, the faces of those who disbelieve will be different (black, sad, and in grieve), and it will be said (to them): "This is (the promise) which you were calling for!" 28. Say (O Muhammad ): "Tell me! If Allah destroys me, and those with me, or He bestows His Mercy on us, - who can save the disbelievers from a painful torment?" 29. Say: "He is the Most Beneficent (Allah), in Him we believe, and in Him we put our trust. So you will come to know who is it that is in manifest error." 30. Say (O Muhammad ): "Tell me! If (all) your water were to be sunk away, who then can supply you with flowing (spring) water?" According to tradition, Rumi was born in Balkh, Khorasan (now in Afghanistan), the hometown of his father's family. This city was at the time included in the Greater Persian cultural sphere of Khorasan, the easternmost province of historical Persia, and were part of the Khwarezmian Empire. He lived most of his life under the Sultanate of Rum, where he produced his works and died in 1273 CE. He was buried in Konya and his shrine became a place of pilgrimage. Following his death, his followers and his son Sultan Walad founded the Mawlawīyah Sufi Order, also known as the Order of the Whirling Dervishes, famous for its Sufi dance known as the samāʿ ceremony.
