My 26th anime music video and a special Halloween one as well. I had this idea back when I first saw this OVA after watching some videos that adahlfin had made. I was amazed by the animation alone but to watch it, I felt I was in awe. The story itself was a little complicated...took me two sittings to full comprehend the who what where when why and how parts, but I was never bored watching it. The story is basically about a young girl (Cosette) who was murdered nearly 250 years ago and is looking for the one who can release her. I don't want to give too much away because it is a precious gem to witness, or to anger people who may have understood it differently then I had. *Ahem* The main song I used was Cry Little Sister by Gerard McMann. NOTE: Some people think Sisters of Mercy did this song. If they did, it was a remake and not this version. I got this copy of the song straight from the soundtrack album. This song was first debuted on the Lost Boys Soundtrack and film of the same name. Now honestly, I had watched Lost Boys II right before I got the Petit Cosette DVD in the mail the next day so these two things ran in my head constantly for the next week. Now even though the main character Eiri and Cosette are not brother and sister, I felt a brotherly/sisterly love at times in the show. So this song was picked a while back. The ending credits is Anomaly performing Calling Your Name. This song I got from my Mortal Kombat Annihilation soundtrack, and yes, to this day both the first and second movie soundtracks still rock. I discovered a lot of my fave bands from this album including Gravity Kills, KMFDM and Scooter. This particular song felt right since Cosette was looking for someone like Eiri and calling out to him. This is a Halloween video and I tried to capture both the eerie and creepy along with the enjoyment of Halloween. This video is being entered into a Halloween AMV contest so here's hoping it does well. Of course that does not matter if you the viewer does not enjoy. So please watch, enjoy, rate and comment if you feel you have anything to say (positive or negative, I take both in stride and with consideration) and everyone have a Happy Halloween. Dorian Townsend By TheMissSchillinger Sexy smooth quippy Stuart Townsend portrays the immortal Dorian Gray in 'The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen'. For those who haven't seen the film: with the threat of war, "superhero"-like characters from literature are gathered in order to fight a mysterious man known as 'The Fantom'[sic]. For those who haven't read Oscar Wilde's 'The Portrait of Dorian Gray': Dorian Gray is a young (blonde!) man, whose "personality" overpowers the artist painting his portrait. Through a young lord (who vies with the painter for Dorian's attention), he discovers the powers of his own beauty. He also laments that he will grow old and ugly, and wishes that his portrait ages rather than him. He falls in love with an actress, but she performs badly when she falls in love with him too; he spurns her, as it was the magic of her acting that he fell in love with her. She commits suicide. When he returns home, he finds that his portrait has taken on an evil countenance, and he vows to never let anyone see it, even the artist. Knowing that his wish has come true, and he shan't change but rather his portrait, he goes on to commit any number of debauched acts. *Spoilers following* He kills Basil the painter, and asks a man he knows (and presumably seduced, given Wilde's tone of the book) to dispose of the body; this man later kills himself. The finale is that Dorian stabs his own portrait: hearing screams, the police are called to investigate, and they can only identify the withered corpse of Dorian Gray by his rings.
