Nylon 6,10 The preparation of nylon 6,10 by an interfacial polycondensation reaction is demonstrated. The monomers are a 6-carbons diamine (hexamethylenediamine) and a 10-carbons diacid dichloride (sebacoyl chloride): the two reagents dissolved in separate phases polymerize at the interface. The rinsed thread of nylon thus obtained is very similar to the raw material prepared on industrial scale.
