Polish Pronunciation Guide Unit 1 By magauchsein My plan is to produce one short video for every letter and every sound of the Polish Language. At the end there will be approximately 45 videos, every one of them containing 17 words. So theoretically somebody, who would spend 45 minutes watching all of them, would have at least a swift contact with 765 Polish words (mainly substantives) There is a myth that the Polish Language is one of the most difficult to learn. I don't believe it anymore after meeting and speaking to a lot of students who after learning Polish for six months or so - mastered this language to a remarkable degree. My theory is that the Polish Language appears very difficult at the beginning but after somebody manages to reach a certain point of knowledge - this language becomes unexpectedly easy to speak - because obviously it is a very intuitive and "judge by the ear" language. After reaching a certain point you just know how to say it (how to decline and so) because it seems to sound either good or not. So this is why I think, that anybody who would like to learn Polish should invest quite an ample time to "get used" to it. Those 45 minutes of the Polish alphabet are supposed to be the first introduction to this foreign language. It should help to understand how Polish should be pronounced as well as to learn some first Polish words. It should give you the general idea of how the Polish language sounds like. In the next level we will deal with most common verbs. We will look at how they sound and function. I dedicate this course to Carina and Manuel who are trying to learn Polish. I hope I can help you. You can imagine how happy I would be to speak Polish with you. The World Motor Sport Council during the meeting in Monaco adopted the 2009 World Rally Championship calendar. It was decided to include Rally Poland among twelve other rounds of the series. World's best drivers will compete on gravel stages around Mikolajki in June 26-29, 2009. - We are delighted that we succeeded. It took a lot of work of hundreds of people from all over the country to organize Rally of Poland and become the member of such a prestigious group. So far Polish most significant rally was one of the most popular events in European Rally Championship. Rally Poland has also been an official candidate of World Rally Championship for two years. The dream of many people, mostly drivers and rally fans came true. The last weekend of June 2009 we are going to organize World Rally Championship event based in Mikołajki with a super special stage held on a freshly built circuit. The stages will be tackled on hospitable areas of Warmia and Mazury. I would like to invite everybody not only motorsport fans in our country to 66th Rally Poland - said Andrzej Witkowski, president of Polski Zwiazek Motorowy. Rally Poland is one of the oldest motorsport events in the world. The first edition of the rally was held 1921. All competitors tackled the loop from Warsaw through Bialowieza and back to Warsaw. In the twenties and thirties of the previous century there were twelve editions of the event. Later on it was stopped by the World War II and returned in 1947. Since 1960 the history of Rally Poland as a round of European Rally Championship has begun. In 1973, right after the launch of World Rally Championship the event was once adopted for the series. Rally Poland was organized in various parts of the country: in Cracow, Wroclaw, and Klodzko. Since 2005 the headquarters of the event are Mikolajki. The tarmac stages were substituted by spectacular gravel roads of Mazurian forests and lakes. In 2008 Rally Poland will be held in June 6-8.
