RAZAS DE PERROS: Chihuahua BREVE RESUMEN HISTÓRICO El Chihuahua es considerado la raza más pequeña del mundo; recibe el nombre del estado más grande de la República Mexicana (Chihuahua), donde se supone que vivió en estado salvaje y fue capturado y domesticado por los indígenas durante la época de la civilización "Tolteca"; figuras de un perro pigmeo llamado "Techichi", que habitó en Tula, fueron incluidas en la decoración de su arquitectura los cuales eran muy similares al Chihuahueño actual. APARIENCIA GENERAL Es un perro de cuerpo compacto, siendo de primordial importancia hacer notar que su cabeza es de forma amanzanada y su cola moderadamente larga llevada en alto arqueada o de semicírculo, con la punta dirigida hacia el lomo. La talla no debe tomarse en cuenta en esta raza, sólo el peso. Peso ideal entre 1,5 kg y 3 kg. Sin embargo, se aceptan perros entre 500 gr y 1,5 kg. Serán descalificados ejemplares con más de 3 kg.
