STEVIE RAY & JIMMY VAUGHAN "PIPELINE" ON A DOUBLE NECK! By marcelloqu NEW ORLEANS 1987 - THE TWO BROTHERS STEVIE AND JIMMY PLAYING "PIPELINE" ON THE SAME DOUBLENECK GUITAR, SIMPLY INSANE:) SRV ROCKS!..AS USUAL AND THEY PLAY A GUITAR WITH LEFT HANDED NECKS ON A RIGHT HANDED BODY... STEVIE'S STYLE;) THIS IS FROM A STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN & DOUBLE TROUBLE CONCERT ON THE MISSISSIPPI RIVERBOAT "S.S. PRESIDENTE" AT THE NEW ORLEANS JAZZ & HERITAGE FESTIVAL MTV MARDI GRAS - FEB 28, 1987 Something interesting about the guitar they play in the video: "Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimmie Vaughan owned and played a custom Stratocaster-shaped double-neck guitar named "Family Guitar", built by Robin Guitars of Houston, Texas. This guitar had two maple necks, each with a different scale length and a pointy "drooped"-style reversed headstock with locking machine heads and was equipped with Rio Grande single-coil pickups. The latter is tuned an octave higher than a standard guitar, producing a sharper sound similar to that of a mandolin." The REAL Reason the U.S. Wants to Attack Iran By churchmn Unocal proposed building the Trans-Afghanistan Pipeline to congress in 1998 to provide oil and natural gas to several Asian markets. Regardless of their stated intentions, they had to pull the ruling Taliban away from agreements they had with the Bridas Corp to convince them to sign on with Unocal instead (which eventually got backing from the US government). Enter Iran as the new kid on the block. They offered a pipeline to cross the southern part of Pakistan which would cover less harsh territory and cause far fewer tribal disputes over pumping oil and gas to India and Pakistan. Do you see a potential conflict here? I find it interesting that none of this information has ever been covered by the American news media. It took a while, but I found an Indian news source that DID discuss their pending oil deal with Iran and Pakistan. (Fortunately, it's in english.) It seems the only thing holding up the deal are the changes in Pakistan's government (and the fact that we've pushed them into a civil war). The policies of our administration seem to be geared toward protecting Unocal's (now Chevron's) interests by backing up the construction of the Trans-Afghan Pipeline with military forces. The only way our military can do that safely is by committing genocide since the local tribes don't want us there. So I guess it's time to ask yourself if you want your children getting shot at for the sake of oil? NOTE: China has since signed on with Pakistan and India for access to natural gas from that same Iranian pipeline. Also, Iran's President Ahmedinejad has opened up Iranian markets to the west. I've been informed that foreign entrepreneurs can now buy and own businesses in Iranian territory provided they don't try to gain a monopoly in an given business. What sense does it make to attack these people when our own intelligence agencies have told us they discontinued research on nuclear weapons over 5 years ago? The Oil Factor - Why are we in Afghanistan? O-I-L By boredjoewo www.linktv.org "The Oil Factor" Why are we in Afghanistan? OIL!!!! We wanted a huge oil pipeline to go from the Afghan-Pakistan region to the Indian Ocean and the Taliban was in our way. So we got them out of our way which is what 9/11 provided and now we get our oil pipeline. Simple! The permanent US military bases all correspond to oil areas and they are so massive that they rival the permanent bases in Europe. Here is a clue- we aren't leaving Iraq/Afghanistan any time soon. And the war has all been for oil. Blood for oil...American blood for American oil...at least that's how the oil is seen by the Bush Administration. So that's why American soldiers are dying in Afghanistan...for a pipeline that the Taliban did not allow. The leader of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzai was a consultant for Unocal Oil Company. Pipeline Pressure Testing of Components By PipelineEngineering Localised pressure testing of welded pipeline components using a system developed by Pipeline Engineering. Flange Weld Tester - This tool is specifically designed for the testing of weld neck and slip on flange joints. Internal Joint Tester - This more flexible tool allows the isolation and testing of weld neck and slip on flange joints. A complete range of these tools are available for hire from Pipeline Engineering. In addition to our standard range of stoppers and testers Pipeline Engineering can design, manufacture and test non-standard stopper systems to suit special applications such as remotely positioned and activated stoppers. Available for Hire - Pipeline Engineering's extensive range of internal joint and flange weld test equipment has been designed for the oil, gas and process industries to carry out localised pressure testing of welded pipe components. We stock tools for a wide range of pipe sizes - Internal Joint Testers and Flange Weld Testers are available in sizes ranging from ½ to 36. All tools are tested at our on-site facilities and are ready for immediate mobilisation. We can also provide bespoke testers to meet customer requirements and special equipment for pipes or joints above 36. Benefits to operators - These versatile testing tools offer many benefits during pipeline repair/maintenance and shutdown operations. Testing costs a fraction of a full hydrotest Quick to set up for testing Reduced amount of test medium required Localised testing - safer than a full test Time to carry out test significantly reduced Less time taken to fill area for hydrotest as only the area between the seals is filled and pressurised Test procedure provides a strength test as well as a leak test Reduced labour costs Equipment is easy to install and remove Reduced equipment downtime Reduced operating costs Reduced loss of production Easy to Operate The elastomer seals are expanded radially against the pipe bore, either mechanically (up to 6) or hydraulically (8 and above) to seal off the weld area. The sealed area is then pressurised through the fill/pressure port with either liquid or gas to the required test pressure. Hydraulic actuation allows Internal Joint Testing tools to be deployed to remote positions in the line. Tools can be used in vertical, horizontal and inclined piping. Bend negotiation can be achieved by fitting specially designed insertion equipment. Operating equipment including pumps, extension hoses, pressure monitoring equipment and insertion extensions are also available. Arranging hire is easy Tel: +44 (0) 1748 813000 and ask for Hire Services Fax: +44 (0) 1748 813501 with your requirements Email: hire@pipelineengineering.com and we will get back to you Complete the on-line hire request form and we will get back to you Our Hire Team provides all the information and advice you require on products, hire rates, delivery and collection arrangements. Maya to Zbrush Pipeline Part 2 By tibiussoft The following is an answer to the question posed to me by Maikkeru: "How does one take a model from Maya into Zbrush, and then reimport it back into Maya." Well the following tutorial shows the correct workflow for exporting from Maya into Zbrush, and then returning back to Maya. I will discuss the importance of edge flow and clean topology, as well as the proper way to ensure your export between Maya and Zbrush is seamless.
