Rumi Poem, Iranian Music and Divine Dance By Aida0 This video is on the theme of divine love, unity, oneness and the similarity of nations / religions. My only message,is that we all are ONE, but have different ways to express the VERY same feeling of longing for finding the divine within and melting with IT. Ballesta By artehistoriacom http://www.artehistoria.jcyl.es/granb... La ballesta fue un arma muy difundida durante la Antigüedad. Se trataba de una máquina capaz de lanzar pesadas flechas metálicas a una velocidad y potencia elevadas, fundada sobre una aplicación del mecanismo del arco. Roma supo muy bien aprovechar estar armas de origen griego, siendo Julio César el primero en utilizarlas de forma masiva en combates a campo abierto. Realizadas en madera, la mayoría de las armas de artillería se basaban en la utilización de la torsión de grandes madejas de fibras, tendones o crines de caballo. Su fuerza impulsora servía para lanzar tanto dardos como grandes piedras. La ballesta o ballista era la principal arma de artillería del ejército romano. Lanzaba sus proyectiles siguiendo una trayectoria muy horizontal. Cada cohorte disponía de una de estas armas. Lo normal era que disparase de proyectiles de entre medio kilo y 800 gramos, aunque se han hallado también algunos de entre 6,4 y 50 kg, hasta uno gigante de 75 kg. El alcance rondaba los 180 metros, dependiendo del proyectil utilizado.
