Pensamientos Sonorovisuales (2006 demo) "Cada sonido crea una forma en el mundo invisible" PENSAMIENTOS SONOROVISUALES es un proyecto iniciado en el año 2005 por la artista e investigadora, Analía Fontán y fue presentado por primera vez en la muestra "Forma y Sonido", organizada por la Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes y el Instituto Goethe de Montevideo. Al año siguiente fue invitada a integrar la selección de obras para la muestra de arte sonoro "Espacio y Frecuencia", en el Museo Nacional de Artes Visuales de Uruguay, entre agosto y noviembre de 2006. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Ver el sonido nos permite un disfrute extra. La sinestesia en este caso funciona como una manera interesante de sintetizar el material que nos llega a través de los sentidos. Re-pensar la materia sonora, desde esta perspectiva, abre puertas y nos ubica ante la posibilidad de re-significar y redimensionar los límites de nuestra percepción. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Audio del video: "Los sonidos son vibraciones. Hacen surgir formas definidas. Cada sonido crea una forma en el mundo invisible. Notas particulares hacen surgir formas particulares". Sri Swami Sivananda "Que el sonido genera formas era algo que intuía pero que terminé comprobando yo misma. Las imágenes que les presento hablan por sí solas. Llegué a estos patrones utilizando un sencillo dispositivo diseñado por el maestro de la acústica E. F. F. Chladni, en el siglo XVIII, que permite obtener una representación visual de la vibración sonora sin necesidad de medios electrónicos. A cada una de estas formas corresponde una frecuencia fundamental y una serie armónica, un cierto número de nodos y una interesante variedad de modos de vibración que pueden explicarse a través de integrales y derivadas matemáticas. Sin querer ahondar en explicaciones científicas, quisiera poner de manifiesto una idea que ya no puedo descartar: esta relación entre vibraciones y formas se encuentra a nuestro alrededor todo el tiempo: en la naturaleza, en la cultura, en el arte, en la vida cotidiana, en los diálogos invisibles entre nuestra percepción sensorial y lo que nos rodea. The lecture was part of a course given by Dimitri Halley at the university of Aruba called: Love, Compassion and Intimacy in Modern Society, Interpersonal Relations and Family. A summary of the overall course follows: Perfect balance, relationship, connection, empathy, agape love, love without conditions, and compassion all point to true love which is the oldest power which is known. Why do we fall out of love? At the highest level of development extreme love is felt. Yet all too often true love and compassion is confused and misunderstood. The module will develop an accurate understanding of love and compassion via a multidisciplinary perspective. This will be done by a comparative approach to Eastern and Western scientific and spiritual traditions and also more modern psycho-therapeutic and social traditions, and also art, poetry, music. The role of the ego versus compassion and love will be considered. Also will be elaborated on how social intervention policy and psycho-social care services can respond with compassion (as an intervention method) to clients and social problems on the different levels of society. Core-concepts to approach love and compassion will be consciousness, systemic, critical and paradoxical thinking. A paradoxical and critical understanding of love will be one of the main objectives of the module.The module offers a practical approach toward applying compassion and unconditional regard in modern societies, family and relations. Finally, the video elaborates on what it is that blocks us from the practice and experience of love, intimacy and compassion as care-givers, Institutions, individuals, families, groups and whole societies.
