Repurpose A documentary film by Tom Smith (AKA Jack Oatmon http://twitter.com/jackoatmon ). A look into the hardware hacking community in Montreal, including the Foulab collective. Why are more and more hobbyists experimenting with hacks and circuit bends? What relationship does this imply about consumer society and technological advancement? Is this a real-world analog of 'user generated content'? Xprotolab - Miniature Oscilloscope and Waveform Generator Video Demonstration of the Xprotolab. The Xprotolab is the first mixed signal oscilloscope with an arbitrary waveform generator in a DIP module. It measures only 1.6" sq. inches, and can be mounted directly on a breadboard. The Xprotolab can also be used as a development board for the AVR XMEGA microcontroller. The Xprotolab uses an ATXMEGA32A4 microcontroller, it uses the internal ADC with up to 2MS/s and the internal DAC for the arbitrary waveform generator of 1MS/s. EEVblog #159 - Oscilloscope Trigger Holdoff Tutorial One of the more obscure controls on an oscilloscope is the Trigger Holdoff control. A dedicated control on most high end analog oscilloscopes, and a main menu option in modern digital scopes, yet often poorly understood. What does it do and how does it work? (the background noise is crickets!) AVR oscilloscope v2.00 Video 2 With a firmware update of 'AVR oscilloscope" the oscilloscope has now new features: - Prints on LCD the Volts peak-to-peak, DC volts and the frequency of the measured waveform. - RAM requirement has been reduced from 1200 bytes to 335 bytes. That means you can use an AVR microcontroller with lower RAM than 2kB. For more details you can read on my web site http://www.serasidis.gr by clicking on "AVR based oscilloscope" link.
