Pedagogia Teatro fisico Odin Teatret on THEATRO TV By theatrotv L'Odin Teatret fu fondato a Oslo, in Norvegia, nel 1964, quando Eugenio Barba, al suo ritorno da tre anni di studio con Jerzy Grotowski in Polonia, riunì alcuni giovani che erano stati rifiutati dalla scuola teatrale di stato. Allinizio degli anni 60 in Europa non esistevano esperienze simili. Lidea stessa che il teatro potesse essere non un semplice edificio, ma un gruppo di persone che creano e definiscono il proprio lavoro come risposta a bisogni e convinzioni personali, era sconosciuta. Questa autodeterminazione autodidattica, indipendente dalle correnti teatrali del tempo, ha caratterizzato la storia dellOdin Teatret fino ai nostri giorni. Nel tentativo di trovare un altro uso del teatro in differenti contesti sociali e culturali, lOdin Teatret ha sviluppato la pratica del baratto sin dagli anni Settanta. Tale pratica ha assunto una funzione rilevante fra le attività dellOdin Teatret. Un baratto è un pagamento in natura: è il culmine di un processo di relazione in atto tra un gruppo di teatro e una comunità che scambiano le loro culture. Il gruppo teatrale si presenta mediante il proprio training, spettacoli di strada, improvvisazioni, spettacoli, e la comunità ospite risponde con le proprie danze, musiche, canzoni, letteratura orale, cerimonie tradizionali e persino religiose. Lidea del baratto fu anche alla base dellincontro internazionale sul Terzo Teatro, promosso da Eugenio Barba a Belgrado nel 1976 per il Teatro delle Nazioni, con ilo sostegno dellUnesco e dellIstituto Internazionale del Teatro. Tale incontro, oltre ad essere un festival, fu uno scambio di metodi di lavoro e di visioni professionali tra gruppi teatrali. Il terzo teatro non è uno stile teatrale, né unalleanza fra gruppi, o ancor meno un movimento o unassociazione internazionale; non è neppure unestetica o un orientamento tecnico, né una di quelle nuove tendenze che associamo agli anni settanta. I gruppi che chiamiamo Terzo Teatro sono discriminati, personalmente o culturalmente, professionalmente, economicamente o politicamente. Critici, storici del teatro o politici possono considerarli con interesse e passione, o ignorarli del tutto: il terzo teatro continua ad esistere comunque. E un elemento permanente dellecologia teatrale. Sebbene il nome sia invenzione recente, la condizione che denomina non è recente. Un teatro non può giustificare la sua esistenza se non è cosciente della sua missione sociale. Laggettivo sociale evoca per noi una presa di posizione etica ed emotiva nei confronti degli altri. In effetti, il risultato artistico è sempre influenzato da questa presa di posizione. Il nome del nostro teatro non è fortuito. Ci sembra naturale che sia quello della forza che ha lasciato la sua impronta nel nostro secolo: il dio della guerra Odino, il grande berserk. Allo stesso modo in cui i nostri antenati evocavano e combattevano i demoni dando loro libero corso in cerimonie collettive, siamo qui riuniti -attori e spettatori- per fare emergere e combatterla in piena luce, la parte Odin in agguato nella nostra oscurità. Questa lotta contro laltro nascosto in noi diviene lo strumento duna più profonda conoscenza delle forze segrete che sorgono inattese e ci investono quando le circostanze sono loro favorevoli. Il nostro teatro non vuole né divertire, né sostenere tesi. Pone solo domande alle quali ciascuno di noi deve trovare la propria risposta: larte impegnata non fornisce buone risposte, saccontenta di porre buone domande. La veemenza della lotta interiore ci guida verso una nuova nascita. Così lo sciamano Odin, poco a poco, una pietra dopo laltra, ci guida ad allargare il campo della nostra coscienza. Negli Anni 70, come già accennato, Lodin prepara uno spettacolo da portare nelle terre incontaminate della sardegna, sotto invito di Pierfranco Zappareddu e del nascente teatro Alkestis. Barba non se la sente di chiedere denaro, per lo spettacolo, a quelle persone che lavoravano nei campi per poter tirare avanti. E pensa che si puòusare questo principio di reciprocità: il compenso per lo spettacolo di doveva consistere in canti, danze e musiche degli abitanti del luogo.
