[View \| Download]	Dimmu Borgir - Entrance (live) By Zyklonzone Dimmu Borgir - Entrance (live) Dimmu Borgir es una banda musical noruega de black metal sinfónico con reminiscencias de black metal melódico."Dimmu Borgir" significa "Fortaleza Oscura" en noruego, también un conjunto de cuevas formadas por lava en Islandia que según los noruegos son la entrada al averno infernal. Dimmu Borgir fue fundado originalmente en 1990 por Shagrath, Silenoz y Tjodalv. La banda inmediatamente sacó al mercado un LP titulado Inn I Evighetens Mørke en 1993 ("Dentro de la eternidad de la oscuridad"). Este disco vendió todas sus copias en pocas semanas. A continuación ese mismo año sacaron For All Tid 1994 ("En todo momento"). En 1996 sacaron Stormblåst (algo así como "viento de la tormenta"), álbum elogiado por muchos fans y señalado, por algunos, como uno de los principales de su carrera. Después de Stormblåst la carrera de Dimmu Borgir tomó un nuevo rumbo. El teclista Stian Aarstad dejó la banda para cumplir el servicio militar en el ejército Noruego, de manera que no participó en la grabación de Devil's Path 1996. Cuando volvió para grabar Enthrone Darkness Triumphant 1997, tenía problemas para atender todas la fechas del tour y fue expulsado de la banda. Este disco tuvo éxito de ventas y fue el primero que sacaron bajo el sello de la discográfica Nuclear Blast. Los siguientes fueron Spiritual Black Dimensions 1999 y Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia 2001. En 2003, Dimmu Borgir apostó con su mayor impulso financiero para crear el álbum Death Cult Armageddon y en 2007 crearon "In sorte diaboli". Partes de este disco fueron grabados por la Orquesta Filarmónica de Praga para incluir arreglos musicales de música clásica. Dimmu Borgir forma parte de grupos que han cambiado su estilo crudo a algo más sinfónico y con menos voz gutural como Cradle Of Filth y The Kovenant; logrando un metal extremo más accesible al público, en lugar de tocar solo los estratos mismos del género, llegando a tocar en el Ozzfest de 2004 con gran afluencia de público y en el último Wacken Festival en Alemania ante 25.000 personas. El "Dimmu Borgir" (Ciudadela/Fortaleza Oscura) es una localización al este de Mývatn en Islandia. Esta zona está marcada por actividad volcánica que hace que parezca una antigua ciudadela, con columnas y humo sulfúrico. En el folclore de Islandia se dice que Dimmu borgir conecta las regiones infernales con la tierra. En un reportaje para la cadena NRK, Silenoz declaró: "Nuestras letras demuestran un disgusto por el intelecto humano, y nuestra postura negativa ante todo tipo de religiones, no solo ante el cristianismo. Las religiones envenenan al planeta. Porque tú naciste con un cerebro, y no puedes dejar que otros lo usen por ti. "Sorgens Kammer" es una versión de una canción tomada del juego Agony para Amiga. Stian Aarstad utilizó la melodía sin mencionárselo a sus compañeros. El grupo siempre pensó que la canción era propia hasta que el compositor original contactó con ellos. Por esta razón, la canción fue eliminada de la versión de 2005 de Stormblåst y reemplazada por una versión no publicada anteriormente denominada "Sorgens Kammer - del II". En el famoso libro de C.S. Lewis "Narnia: El León, La Bruja y El Armario", se menciona a un demonio llamado Silenoz en el dorso de un libro autobiográfico en la casa del Sr. Tumnus. Shagrath y Galder colaboraron también con el rapero noruego y amigo de la infancia, Diaz, en 2003. La canción se titula "Mitt Terningkast", del álbum "Velkommen Hjem Andres". But the truth leaked out to the British press shortly before the album's U.K. release last fall, confirming rumors that the Fireman is a collective pseudonym for McCartney and Youth, a British dance-music producer and former member of Killing Joke. Together, the team has concocted an appealing collection of nine variations on a musical theme set to a techno dance beat. Anyone expecting a typical McCartney album will be disappointed; Strawberries Oceans Ships Forest has no lyrics (aside from the occasional sampled word), and the differences between the tracks are slight on a first listen. But as a dance record, its strengths are undeniable. The droning wail of guitars and keyboards gives the music an exotic tinge, conjuring up images of a late night stroll through the casbah. The innumerable samples (radio transmissions, random shouts, sitars, a line of classical music) also enliven the mix. A raver on the dance floor isn't going to care who created music, which is entirely the point. This isn't meant to be a chart contender; it's more an opportunity for McCartney to indulge in some musical experimentation. Conversely, the purpose of Come Together: Motown Sings the Beatles is entirely straightforward: It's a collection of 15 Beatles songs covered by 10 Motown artists. And unlike most recent tribute albums, which solicit new recordings from the artists involved, Come Together is drawn from Motown's archives, with the songs originally released between 1964 and 1971. The Supremes were the first to tackle the Lennon-McCartney songbook with the release of the album A Bit of Liverpool in 1964, at the height of Beatlemania. Two songs from that LP, "Can't Buy Me Love" and "A Hard Day's Night," are featured on Come Together in lively, if somewhat expressionless, renditions. Diana Ross fares better as a solo artist with "Come Together" and "The Long and Winding Road"; originally released in 1970, the songs benefited from a fuller sound and stronger delivery. On the whole, ballads come out ahead in this collection; the Miracles' version of "And I Love Her" and Marvin Gaye's "Yesterday" make already tender sentiments even sweeter, and Gladys Knight and the Pips add a sizable measure of soul to "Let It Be." Stevie Wonder's funky "We Can Work It Out" is another high point and the only track to find success on the singles charts, reaching the Top 20 in 1971. Not every track is as successful the Temptations' "Hey Jude" and the Four Tops' "Michelle" provide pleasant enough listening but are otherwise unremarkable. But Come Together is one of the few Beatles-covers collections that makes sense. The Beatles readily acknowledged the inspiration they'd received from Motown, so a compilation in which Motown returns the favor brings the circle to a fitting close.
