Hawaii Surf Session Report: China Walls 04/18/08 Surf Session: China Walls 04/18/08 South Swell brings good times as the tide rises for another surf session report. We go to China walls on the east side and get a birds-eye view of a classic surfbreak. The runs along a jagged wall and crashes up against a jutting out rocky ominous corner. The trick is to catch the wave and find the sweetspot where the energy of the wave bounces off the wall. So you can build up the speed to beat it on down the line. Penguins swimming under the water - Oceanarium in Lisbon By Shackred Penguins seem to have no special fear of humans and have approached groups of explorers without hesitation. This is probably on account of there being no land predators in Antarctica or the nearby offshore islands that prey on or attack penguins. Instead, penguins are at risk at sea from predators such as the leopard seal. Typically, penguins do not approach closer than about 3 meters (9 feet); they become nervous at about that distance. This is also the distance that Antarctic tourists are told to keep from penguins (tourists are not supposed to approach closer than 3 meters, but are not expected to withdraw if the penguins come closer). I'm not naming the "companies" either. Turn the volume up a little to hear it better. The first to upload Light's laugh. After a while, a lot of people will probably have uploaded it in better quality, but I just wanted to be first. *Everyone, PLEASE leave respectful opinions on the laugh. I don't want people saying it sucked or it sounded like a whatever. If you didn't like it, leave a calm, respectful comment. Something like this: "Sorry, but it wasn't that good. It just doesn't work for Light. Mamoru did a great job on the freaky laugh, but Brad doesn't even come close. It'd could've been a lot better, in my opinion." Yes, a lot of people might disagree and get angry, but we would rather know why you disliked it rather than hearing you say you hate it with a lot of cursing. You get the point. I used my mic and held it in front of the computer's speakers (I don't have any program that records online audio, so that's why) and enhanced it as much as I could with my sound softwares. Also, after using the mic to record the audio, I used the original Japanese episode 37 I had on my computer. That's why there's subtitles at the end. Personally, I think he [Light's VA, Brad Swaile] nailed the laugh, as well as the rest of his lines in the episode. I think it might be better than the Japanese one (please don't hate me). Yes, I am a fan of the subbed version more than the dub, but he really pulled off the perfect, crazy laugh for Light. Go Brad Swaile! The song featured Indian composer/producer A. R. Rahman, A-ha keyboard player Magne Furuholmen and Travis drummer Neil Primrose. Proceeds of the single went to help orphans in Banda Aceh, one of the areas worst affected by the tsunami, through Islam's Small Kindness charity.
