Though heavily romanticized, it is one of the best renditions of this magnificent piece, in this one's opinion. PROYECTO: "CENTRO DE MÚSICA BARROCA MANUEL DE SUMAYA" CORO Y ORQUESTA. El Centro de Música Barroca Manuel de Sumaya es el más ambicioso artístico jamás llevado a cabo en México. En siglos pasados, Mexico tuvo la fortuna de ser cuna y hogar de grandes compositores que desde hermosas catedrales ofrecieron su talento y alabanzas ad Maiorem Gloriam Dei, gracias al mecenazgo de la Santa Iglesia Catolica. El trabajo de importantes musicólogos, investigadores e interpretes mexicanos y extranjeros trajo a la luz por vez primera en siglos el magnifico arte musical albergado en archivos catedralicios Mexicanos; ello ha dejado al descubierto obras con un profundo valor historico y musical. El Centro de Música Barroca Manuel de Sumaya tiene por metas las siguientes: * La fundacion en la Ciudad de México, de un centro dedicado a rescatar de la pesante lapida del silencio, musica sacra y secular compuesta por compositores mexicanos en el transcurso de los ss. XVII y XVIII. * El centro musicologico proyectado contaria con un cuerpo de musicologos, academicos para formar una orquesta y un coro profesionales especializados en el repertorio, basados en una correcta interpretación históricamente informada; un recinto con aulas de estudio, una biblioteca para resguardar facsimilares musicales, sala de ensayos. * La orquesta y el coro se encargarian de la difusion de la musica obtenida por el centro musicologico; tendrian temporadas regulares de conciertos, en catedrales y templos, asi como en salas y teatros de todo México y el mundo; asimismo se llevarian a cabo grabaciones del repertorio. * El centro musicologico, habria de redescubrir partituras y realizar ediciones criticas modernas de la musica. * Se iniciaría una ardua búsqueda para dar con el paradero de las primeras óperas mexicanas: "El Rodrigo" y "La Parténope" de Manuel de Sumaya, ya sea en archivos catedralicios, bibliotecas o archivos privados. * Buscar mecenazgo de entidades gubernamentales, privadas o religiosas, para las necesidades económicas del Centro, y para dotar de un apoyo o salario a los músicos, musicólogos, académicos y luthiers. Les invito a proponer ideas, apoyar, y colaborar para conseguir subvenciones, para que este Centro de Música Barroca Manuel de Sumaya sea una realidad; instrumentistas, cantantes, musicólogos, académicos y luthiers. Originally written and performed by the Bee Gees; Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb. Released in 1977 as its own single, and later being one of Saturday Night Fever's love songs. This song is performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in 1981. One of the best versions of How Deep is Your Love, in my opinion! How Deep is Your Love is my favorite song of all time for 15 years now since I was 10. This song is one of the best love songs I have ever heard! We will keep in our prayers Andy and Maurice!
