A Tribute to Breasts By breastadvocate Breastfeeding is an essential part of the human experience. It is our responsibility as a society to encourage breastfeeding. Formula feeding by choice is detrimental to the health of the individual child and to the long-term health of our species. Encouraging mothers to nurse and to feel comfortable doing so where ever they may be is imperative to a continued, successful breastfeeding relationship. Feeling trapped into homes and bathroom stalls will inevitably cause the child's nursing period to be cut short. The World Health Organization and the American Academy of Pediatrics (plus many others) both suggest nursing to two years and beyond with no othe foods until at least six months. Enjoy the video.
