I really liked this song when it first came out and had it on repeat for a few weeks haha...it was pretty much my summer theme song. It's been out for awhile, but it's still an awesome song. So for the arrangement, I wanted to keep that "up and down" or bouncy feel of the guitar so I made sure to emulate that in the vocals, mainly the baritone. The beat box and bass came straight from the original track. The tenor I used as needed either harmonizing with the lead, or as a guitar harmony. Hope you like it! If you have questions about anything, be sure to ask. I hope you benefit from this in some way. I'd like to stress that this technique is not the formal or conventional way to execute the "heel toe" technique, my version, (from what I've seen Bonham played this way too), is an offspring and is meant for an unported bass drum. A ported one is not as "fussy" and burying the beater has no consequences to the sound. "The Aristocats" is a classic animated feature produced and released by Walt Disney Productions in 1970. The twentieth animated feature in the Walt Disney Animated Classics series, the film is based on a story by Tom McGowan and Tom Rowe, and revolves around a family of aristocratic cats, and how an alley cat acquaintance helps them, after a butler has kidnapped them to gain his mistress' fortune which was meant to go to them. The crafty stray cat Thomas O'Malley takes the family under his wing back to Paris, and has them meet his jazz friends. In the original movie, this song was sung by Scatman Crothers as Scat Cat, Phil Harris as Thomas O'Malley Cat, and Thurl Ravenscroft as Billy Boss the Russian Cat. It was also released as a now rare 45 rpm single, in a version sung only by Phil Harris, which lacked the cartoon voices of the common release. It's composed of some of his most famous themes and cues -as well as some more obscure stuff- selected from his scores from the 70's up until now.
