Marlene Dietrich: Dirty Diana By MonroeSmile For my friend Irene of MarleneXtreme. I am NOT in anyway saying that Marlene Dietrich was a whore. The song is supposed to mirror the characters she usually played in her movies, beautiful women who would use their looks and charm to lure and control the men in their lives. I have had this idea in my head for months, however it was with the unfortunate and tragic death of Michael Jackson that I thought this video could be a tribute in his memory as well. But ofcourse, this tribute is to the one and only Marlene Dietrich, the epitome of Hollywood glamour and class. No other actor/actress understood the camera more than Dietrich, who has helped create some of the most iconic images in history, countlessly imitated by stars today, most notably Madonna. This video contains clips from 20 Dietrich classics, except for The Blue Angel which I sadly do not own. Dietrich wasnt all glamour though, she braved the horrors of WW2 by entertaining our troops on the frontline in Europe, for which she would be awarded the Medal Of Freedom. Dietrich would work all her life, from clubs in her early adult years, to Vegas in her late 70's. Dietrich always sang, acted and gave us fans some of the greatest shows on earth. Dietrich would only stop performing when it was physically impossible for her to do so. Hope you enjoy this video, to one of the bravest, strongest, most talented and most beautiful women to have graced the world. This phrase is said to often, but it is the only way to describe this legendary goddess: There will never be another like her.
