Korn - A.D.I.D.A.S (From "Live At Montreux 2004") For more info - http://www.eagle-rock.com/artist/66C7D7/KoRn Korn came out of California in the early nineties and went on to become one of the most globally successful metal acts of their generation. They continue to play live to vast crowds and have record sales in the millions. This concert from Montreux in 2004 is their only performance at the festival to date. It was to be one of the last shows to feature the band's original line-up with guitarist Brian Welch leaving the group a few months later. The normally reserved Montreux crowd is transformed by Korn into seething, rocking mass with the largest (& probably the first!) mosh pit ever seen in the famous Stravinski Auditorium. Tori Amos - Winter (From "Live At Montreux 91/92") For more info - http://www.eagle-rock.com/artist/8C3821/Tori+Amos These two concerts from Montreux in 1991 and 1992 catch Tori Amos right at the start of her solo career. The first from July 1991 was filmed a few months before the release of her "Little Earthquakes" album and the second from July 1992 followed a few months after. There is a fascinating progression from one year to the next as she grows in confidence and skill as a live performer, buoyed by the critical and commercial success of the album. Naturally most of the songs are taken from "Little Earthquakes" but there are also rare songs from her various EPs released across the two years which didn't make it onto the album including her distinctive takes on Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love" and "Thank You" and Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit". King is the greatest living exponent of the blues and considered by many to be the most influential guitarist of the latter part of the 20th century. His career dates back to the late forties and despite now being in his eighties he remains a vibrant and charismatic live performer. B.B. King has been a frequent visitor to the Montreux festival, appearing nearly 20 times, so choosing one performance was no easy task. This 1993 concert will surely rank as one of his finest at any venue. With a superb backing band and a great set list its a must for any blues fan.
