Fahrenheit 451 - Book burning scene from 1966 film By zuebee "We must burn the books, Montag... all the books!" This is the scene where the firemen go to a home that holds a secret library of books, which are forbidden to all. The lady of the house will not leave and chooses to die with them in the ensuing fire. I am a great fan of Ray Bradbury and loved this flick when it came out in 1966, even though the director chose to leave out the chilling scenes from the book with the robot "Mechanical Hound" that tracks down citizens who stray from the govt mind-think. I still have my original paperback of this novel as printed in 1966 and reread it often in these crazy times of Homeland Security and orange alerts. All YouTube vids are limited to 10 min and 100 MB so I had to delete a few seconds from the beginning and end of this scene; otherwise, this is how it runs in the original film.
