Trio Matamoros - Cuando ya no me quieras By dinoranoe Durante casi 4 décadas de labor musical, el Trío Matamoros cantó con amor a la belleza y a la gente de su entrañable país. Con un estilo cubano criollísimo, a Miguel Matamoros le tocó la gloria de fundar y dirigir el famoso conjunto musical que llevó su nombre y que recorrió el mundo, convertido en vibrante embajada musical con sólo sus voces acompañadas por guitarras y maracas. Ellos aportaron a sus interpretaciones un inigualable sabor cubano que nadie ha podido igualar. El fundador y director del célebre Trío, creó también dentro de las normas conocidas y establecidas del bolero, la criolla, la guaracha, el son y otros géneros del amplio repertorio de la cancionística cubana, una gran cantidad de obras que por su alta calidad melódica y rítmica, enaltecen el patrimonio cultural cubano. Él junto a Siro Rodríguez y Rafael Cueto integraron el más famoso de los tríos cubanos. Nacido en Santiago de Cuba en l894, Miguel Matamoros falleció en 1971. De sus 77 años, dedicó más de cuatro décadas a deleitar no sólo a sus compatriotas, sino al mundo con sus imperecederas y hermosas creaciones. Seriedad, fidelidad y buen gusto interpretativo fueron los sellos que caracterizaron a este trío, el cual más que compañeros de labor entre sus integrantes hubo verdadera hermandad en el arte y en la vida. A más de 35 años de la desaparición física de Miguel Matamoros, aún el eco de las interpretaciones de Siro, Cueto y Miguel, su famoso trío, resuena en las más distantes plazas del planeta, para orgullo de los cubanos y de los amantes de la música popular.
