Lyle Dylandy, codenamed Lockon Stratos after his brother Neil Dylandy, loved Anew Returner even though she was an Innovator. Innovators were dubbed the enemy and the world's distortion to Setsuna and the other members of the Celestial Being faction, but the crew did not knew that Anew was an Innovator. Anew Returner was controlled by Ribbons Almark later on, through their Innovator powers by using Veda, in an attempt capture the 00 Gundam and/or the 0 Raiser. Anew and Lockon fought in the next battle. While Lockon was attempting to bring Anew back, Ribbons used Veda to control her again. Before Anew could stab Lockon's Cherudim, Setsuna shot her mobile suit with the 00 Raiser(00 Gundam and the 0 Raiser docked together). With the use of the 00 Raiser's GN particles, Lockon and Anew had their last conversation before she died.
