Released in 1975 from the album Venus and Mars, it did not become a hit on the charts, and is one of Wings' lesser-known songs. Even though the single was criticised a lot by the public, it still remains one of Paul's favourites. The song was released on October 4, 1975 in the United States, and on October 18 in the United Kingdom. The song peaked at a mediocre #41 in the United Kingdom, and a slightly better #39 in the United States. "Letting Go" was edited for the single release, so the single mix was just slightly longer than three minutes, as opposed to the original 5 minute album mix. "Letting Go" is about a man, Paul McCartney, who has found a talented singer, and wants to publicise her to the world, and make her internationally known. The lyrics suggesting this include: Ah, she tastes like wine! Such a human being so divine. Oh, she looks like snow. I wanna put her in a Broadway show! Oh, she sings it so. I wanna put her on the radio! Oh, I feel like letting go. Vampire Knight Chapter 44 The Attachment of YUUKIandZERO By chall66666 At night, Zero is having a nightmare as he calls out to Ichiru. He realized that Yuuki is outside the door so he called out to her to sleep in her own bedroom. Yuuki opened the door and told him that she is worried since he cant sleep well. She asked if she can come in. Zero told her that she can since this is her house. Yuuki replied that it isnt. Zero tried to sleep but he couldnt because of the feelings of insanity that he is trying to suppress. He is surprised when Yuuki patted his head to help him sleep. She told him that someone did that to her before. Zero managed to fall asleep as he thought that warm hand has supported him Later on, Zero met Kaname, a pureblood vampire, who is admired by Yuuki, a human girl. After Kaname put his hand on Yuukis head, Yuuki happily pulled him in the room. Later on, Zero doesnt want to be touched by Yuukis hand that has also touched Kaname. Yuuki brought some bandages for Zero but Zero told her to just leave it. He looked at the mirror while he is removing the bandages on his neck. He wondered why he is so irritated is it because of seeing a pureblood or is it the possibility that person who taught her to be empathetic and loving is a pureblood. He then noticed that his scratched wounds heal fast and wondered if it is because of that. He then angrily smashed the mirror with his bare hands. This made Yuuki enter the room to check on him. She held his hand and tried to pull his hand from the broken mirror so that he wont be badly injured. Zero pulled his hand from her and shouted for her not to touch him. This injured Yuukis hand. Zero starts to shake upon seeing Yuukis blood that he asked Yuuki to call the president. After Yuuki left, Zero realized that he wasnt human anymore when he smelled Yuukis blood because he felt hungry. He thought that it isnt the same as his own blood or Kanames. When Kaien entered the room, Zero told him that he wanted to become stronger in order not to lose to himself and vampires. Later on, Zero saw Yuuki sleeping in the table. Zero thought that she is sleeping because she has been taking care of him every night. Yuuki woke up and asked if he is okay. Zero apologized for injuring her hand. Yuuki told him that its okay for it is just a small wound and its good that Zero has calmed down. Yuuki almost slip that she is actually afraid. Zero apologized. Yuuki told him that she was afraid just like when that vampire that attacked her before. Zero tried to tell Yuuki something but Yuuki kept on talking about Zero experiencing the same scary thing so he would hate it when she is close with Kaname-sama who is a vampire. Yuuki tries to hold his hand but he wouldnt. He thought that it isnt as Yuuki thought but rather that he would someday become that scary vampire she is scared of. Zero is actually afraid but to his surprise, Yuuki hugged him. Yuuki told him that if he found a peaceful place, no matter if he encountered something scary, it will be alright. She also told him not to be afraid. Then, when that fearful day came, Yuuki still stood by his side. He doesnt want to seek that hand that held him together and gave him peace. Her sincere eyes havent changed for they still gave him strength and support. End flashback. Zero thinks that right now, Yuuki still look at him with those eyes. He cant seem to bear to look at her that he looks away and asks why she doesnt move. He shouts that right now, it doesnt matter to him if he killed her there. He thinks that hope has already disappeared from the future so why do Yuuki and Ichiru still want him to live. So, the chapter ended up being a reason for Zero not to kill Yuuki There is the theme of bonds/attachment and revenge. That flashback seems to be the final piece since it showed to us when Zero learned that he became a vampire and somehow got over it with thanks to Yuuki. Actually, I was thinking that the way Yuuki takes care of Zero, it reminds me of how a mom comforts a scared kid. Hehe, Zero was the favorite kid so maybe he also warmed up to her because she reminds him of his mom. Im actually entertaining bad thoughts like what if Rido is still alive and attacked them while they are doing that face/stand-off. Speaking of Rido, was that mist-blood whip thingie near Kaname, Rido? I also wonder if Kaname is talking about him and Rido or him and Zero about having an attachment. If Zero kills Yuuki then thats the end of the story and he would be a really ungrateful guy. If Zero doesnt kill Yuuki because of his attachment with her in the past for all the things she did for him, then Kanames gamble is a success. He did tell Zero before that there is no way for Zero to betray Yuuki. It is indeed dangerous to raise a powerful vampire hunter for that person might try to kill someone whom he loves and that is Yuuki. I made this video for my friend who just went through a breakup.... i never knew this song would be for me as well until September last year. It's not easy to let go of someone whom you've loved for 13 1/2 years. But i had to be firm... the hurt gave me strength... prayers helped me to forgive... now we're friends. The distance made it easier for me to let go, my friends were such great help. I know he hasn't moved on, I have. I'm not yet ready for a serious relationship, just trying to enjoy life to the fullest. All I have are the good memories from the past. I have no regrets,just lessons learned.
