Dolphin Pods and Cephalopods I went to Werribee South this morning and met up with Hermie and his young son Jay. Squid were the target and it didnt take too long to find them. Hermie and Jay are new to kayaks and kayak fishing and had never caught squid before. Thats no longer the case. It was a special day. The weather was perfect. I had nearly bagged out inside the first half hour, and Jay and Dad had scored their first ever squid. One of Jays was a rip snorter. The fishing was interrupted for a while by a visit from a large pod of dolphins with pups in tow. What an incredible experience. Not the first time for me but it was another first for Hermie and Jay. Words cant describe it, so Ill let the pictures tell the story. It was great to be able to share it with you guys. Thanks.
