As u hve said in ur email, no matter what, everybody loves his homeland, So do I, and hence understand ur sentiments. WE ahve to accept that howsoever similar we are in our culture, language or even traditions, there prevails tension between the two countries, PAKISATAN hence is a great issue in kavisammelans of India, exactly simlar to how India is a great issue in every intellctual program of Pakistan . I being an poet of love, refrain myself to speak on any boundaries whether geographical or political, i hv been blessed by God to spread love through my poetry and i follow him, the clipping u are talking about actually follows a different context, sinc these days the tension between two countries is rising, the mass was demanding to hear something on Pakistan, which i always avoid to write on.. so i commentted, which actually menat that "POETRY WAS SO VALUABLE THAT IT SHOULDN'T BE WASTED ON SUCH PETY CHEAP POLITICALLY DRIVEN ISSUES", it wasnt for PAKISTAN intentionally, but was for the dirty politics which dnt mind is same as in India as it is in Pakistand, i have commented for about 50 times from stage simlilarly as :2crore ki poetry ko 2 kaudi k raajneeti pe kyun waste karun" ... so it was nt abt the country but was abt the politics, which as u hve mentioned is the majr cause of all tension. As far as conveying the mesage of love is concerned, Iam the only poet who has been invited to PAKISTAN ,for performance twice in two consecutive years, but hasn't been able to be there again by the same political issues which i really commented on..I hve been to Dubai recently and met many pakistani poets sharing stage with them. You hve got hurt by the comment i had made in one clipping.. but let me show u some more clippings that may convey to you my desperate feelings towards the brotherhood AND oneness ....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-FfM p1pbMo&feature=related Further, u r right saying that people expect high from artists, but dear freind, an artist again is a human being, You even after being an Pakistani.and a patriotic pakistani, am sure would nt advocate the brutuality of taliban towards the woman in the name of religon, coz then u r a human being..same is the case wid me that i cant overlok or advocate the bloodshed just to maintain the decorum of an artist, coz am an humanbeing, and hence wen the tnsion between the two countirs gets above the head..like after mumbai attacks, and latest cricket team attack, the Indian heart or rather the human heart dominates the artist heart and makes such reactions... which are on situatuons rather than nations... However having said that all, i believe that even if a single person has got hurt by me even unintentionally, .. i must apologize.. we can create the histories but we cant create geographies.. India and pakistan are neighbours.. geographically.. thier coordination would make a good history.. and thier diffrences would make a bad one.. but in either of the cases. they would remain neighbours geographically, i rarely access my mails, coz my manager replies on my behalf, but ur mail was special and being replied by me personally coz i beileive that as long as the essence of understanding and faith between the common non political people of India and pakistan would be in high spirits,the hope for a better tomorrow won't die... hoping the same.. today tomorrow and always.. The board school is run by Shekhar (Abhi Bhattacharya). Shekhar tries to instill good values in the students using unorthodox teaching methods. He gains the students' trust and educates them about the heritage of their country and encourages them to become model citizens. At the boarding school, Ajay continues his ways and gets into trouble all the time, including with Shekhar. Meanwhile, Ajay meets and befriends a crippled boy named Shakti (Rattan Kumar) whose character is the opposite of Ajay. Shakti tries very hard to help Ajay change his ways, but Ajay's stubborn nature gets in the way. Finally one day, Ajay attempts to leave the hostel and Shakti finds out. Shakti tries to go after him and stop him but his handicap slows him down and his earnestness to get Ajay back causes him to lose track of the heavy traffic on the road. That is when Shakti is run over in a horrific accident. This was the triggering moment in Ajay, realizing that it was because of his stubbornness, Shakti died. His moves him to change and become a better person. He goes on to excel in academics and sports. Meanwhile, Shekhar's method of teaching wins approval by the education board in the end. He decides to leave the boarding school to spread his message elsewhere through his unorthodox but successful ways. ABOUT KAVI PRADEEP ;-Kavi Pradeep (कवि प्रदीप) (6 February 1915 - 11 December 1998) was a popular Indian poet and film lyricist, most known for his patriotic song, Aye Mere Watan Ke Logo (O! the people of my motherland!), written as tribute to the soldiers who had died defending the country, during the Sino-Indian War. The song was famously performed live, by Lata Mangeshkar, in the presence of Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru at the Ramlila grounds, New Delhi, on Republic Day, 26 January 1963 . and moved him to tears , and a copy of the soundtrack spool was also gifted to him on the occasion. Despite many offers, Kavi Pradeep, pledged the royalties of the song to 'War Widows Fund', and on August 25, 2005, Bombay High Court, ordered, Saregama (HMV) to pay Rs 10 lakh as arrears in royalty due to the Fund . His first recognition, for his patriotic song, "Chal chal re naujawan" (Come on ye Youth), in film Bandhan (1940), though it was for writing a daringly patriotic song, Door Haaton aye Duniya walon (Move Away O Outsiders), in India's first golden jubilee hit, Kismet (1943), that his status as nationalistic writer got immortalized, as soon after the film's release, having provoked the ire of British government, he was forced to go underground to avoid arrest . Some of which are: "Best film lyricist" - 1961 Sangeet Natak Akademi Award - 1961 BFJA Award as Best Male Playback Singer for Jai Santoshi Maa (1975)[2] The Film Journalist Association award The National Integration Award in 1993 Dada Saheb Phalke Award - 1997-1998) Plagiarized works of Kavi Pradeep :- Many of Kavi Pradeeps works have been plagiarized in neighboring Pakistan. Songs like Hum Laye Hain Toofan se Kashti Nikal Ke, Is Desh ko rakhnaa mere bachchon sambhal ke , "Aao Bachon Tumhe Dikhayen Jhanki Hindustan Ki"' have been plagiarized almost word to word with minor changes like 'desh' to 'mulk' and avoiding references like 'Bharat', 'Hind', 'Bapu' etc.[citation needed] Legacy ;- Kavi Pradeep died at the age of 83 in Mumbai on December 11, 1998, he was survived by his wife, and two daughters, Sargam Thaker and Mitul Pradeep, who later set up the Kavi Pradeep Foundation [11]. They are assisted in their task by former MLA, Mr Avinash Pande. He is also a distant relative of the poet.
