[View \| Download]	simple tripod headstand into bent arm crow pose By yosari22 Place the crown of your head (the small place where a book would balance if you were trying to balance on with excellent posture on your head) onto the mat and place your palms flat shoulder width apart. The elbows will stack directly above the wrists and the elbows hug in to form a 90 degree angle. Curl the toes under, lift the hips and walk the feet in. Take one knee and place it lightly onto the tricep following with the second knee. Don't let the arms buckle under the weight of the legs. Keep pushing the triceps into the knees to create resistance and aid in keeping the shoulders away from the earlobes and the neck long. Keeping the big toes and inner heels touching, begin to pull the belly in and lift the knees up off of the arms. Once the legs begin to lift and straighten, squeeze the inner thighs together, spread the toes and lift towards the ceiling. Shoulders stay lifting, ribs in. Keeping the inner edges of the feet touching, bend and spread the knees lowering them back onto the arms. Snuggle them as far up towards the armpits as possible. Now, think in terms of threes: Roll towards the bridge of your nose trying to look forward, drop the bottom, gently dig the fingertips into the ground to help pull the chest forward. Once you master lifting the head, round the upper back and push the ground away. Take a few breaths in crow. Tuck the chin, place the crown of the head back onto the ground and pull back up into full headstand. From here either lower with bent of straight legs. Rest! *If the full headstand is too intimidating, try to lift into crow from the prep (knees beginning on the arms). [View \| Download]	Seven sings "It can't be wrong" - Killing Game scene By vastvision The infamous scene from the "killing game part 1", the Janeway/7of9 subtext is glorious! Edit: Okay here some explanations on the subtext: Quoting Wikipedia: In the episode titled "The Killing Game, Part I" the crew thinks it is living in Nazi-occupied France and Captain Janeway becomes the owner of a nightclub where it is implied, but again never developed, that she is romantically involved with Seven of Nine. More explanation from myself: It was woven in in a brilliant subtle way...as is generally known (or not) Janeway was "Humphrey Bogart" in this episode, and Seven was the "Lauren Bacall" type. Not just the dresses suggest that. Killing Game plays in 1944. Exactly in that year Bogart and Bacall met and fell in love. And Bacall got famous overnight with one percormance. That's only a parallel of many. Now let's get to the intro in which Seven sings "It can't be wrong" from Dick Haymes (here the lyrics): "Wrong, would it be wrong to kiss, (closeup on Seven - would it be WRONG to kiss?) Seeing I feel like this?, Would it be wrong to try?, (lesbian innuendo en masse) Wrong, would it be wrong to stay, Here in your arms this way?, Under the starry sky, (voyager on its long travel through the universe) If it is wrong, then why were you sent to me?, (camera turns to JANEWAY who walks in, she was sent to Seven you could say) (also a look on the bigpicture, Janeway was sent to Seven to rescue her from the Borg) Why am I content to be, With you forever?, (while Seven sings, camera lingers on Janeway...) So, when I need you so much, And I have waited so long, (yeah...lol) It must be right, It can't be wrong" And you never know what else could have happened on the holodeck, because the crew members themselves don't remember either after they woke up. [View \| Download]	Kathryn Budig in Handstand Lotus (Padmasana) By yosari22 not a bad idea to practice this with a wall behind you. if you're wondering what happens if you start to fall in this pose, your body will surprise you. it reacts and you legs will flip out to land in a backbend, BUT to be safe, start at the wall. i prefer jumping into this pose with one leg straight, one knee bent tight to the chest. that way once i find balance, it's just an external rotation of the bent knee hip to go into half lotus. that is a GREAT place to begin. keep working the bent knee balance and the half lotus balance. if those are both too intense, practice kicking up to handstand at the wall and rotate the hip open into tree pose. this will prepare the hip as well. once you get the half lotus down, it's time to be very patient. bend the second leg pulling the heel in and back. once the second heel makes contact with your shin bone, you'll need to snuggle it in. wiggle the foot until you can weave yourself into a deeper lotus. from there you have the option to lift the knees up to the ceiling (deep hip opener) or like you see in this video, lower the lotus until it is parallel with the floor (more core work). [View \| Download]	Seven sings "It can't be wrong" - Killing Game scene By vastvision The infamous scene from the "killing game part 1", the Janeway/7of9 subtext is glorious! Edit: Okay here some explanations on the subtext: Quoting Wikipedia: In the episode titled "The Killing Game, Part I" the crew thinks it is living in Nazi-occupied France and Captain Janeway becomes the owner of a nightclub where it is implied, but again never developed, that she is romantically involved with Seven of Nine. More explanation from myself: It was woven in in a brilliant subtle way...as is generally known (or not) Janeway was "Humphrey Bogart" in this episode, and Seven was the "Lauren Bacall" type. Not just the dresses suggest that. Killing Game plays in 1944. Exactly in that year Bogart and Bacall met and fell in love. And Bacall got famous overnight with one percormance. That's only a parallel of many. Now let's get to the intro in which Seven sings "It can't be wrong" from Dick Haymes (here the lyrics): "Wrong, would it be wrong to kiss, (closeup on Seven - would it be WRONG to kiss?) Seeing I feel like this?, Would it be wrong to try?, (lesbian innuendo en masse) Wrong, would it be wrong to stay, Here in your arms this way?, Under the starry sky, (voyager on its long travel through the universe) If it is wrong, then why were you sent to me?, (camera turns to JANEWAY who walks in, she was sent to Seven you could say) (also a look on the bigpicture, Janeway was sent to Seven to rescue her from the Borg) Why am I content to be, With you forever?, (while Seven sings, camera lingers on Janeway...) So, when I need you so much, And I have waited so long, (yeah...lol) It must be right, It can't be wrong" And you never know what else could have happened on the holodeck, because the crew members themselves don't remember either after they woke up. And of course above all these things: the glances, the atmosphere etc. sighs ...it's awful that I still have to explain J/7 to people ;)! [View \| Download]	Kathryn Budig in Handstand Lotus (Padmasana) By yosari22 not a bad idea to practice this with a wall behind you. if you're wondering what happens if you start to fall in this pose, your body will surprise you. it reacts and you legs will flip out to land in a backbend, BUT to be safe, start at the wall. i prefer jumping into this pose with one leg straight, one knee bent tight to the chest. that way once i find balance, it's just an external rotation of the bent knee hip to go into half lotus. that is a GREAT place to begin. keep working the bent knee balance and the half lotus balance. if those are both too intense, practice kicking up to handstand at the wall and rotate the hip open into tree pose. this will prepare the hip as well. once you get the half lotus down, it's time to be very patient. bend the second leg pulling the heel in and back. once the second heel makes contact with your shin bone, you'll need to snuggle it in. wiggle the foot until you can weave yourself into a deeper lotus. from there you have the option to lift the knees up to the ceiling (deep hip opener) or like you see in this video, lower the lotus until it is parallel with the floor (more core work).
