También veremos como pueden salvar vastas distancias estos visitantes para visitarnos, en la que la estrella más cercana Alpha Centauri, está a 2,6 años luz, y que probablemente bajo su avanzada tecnología usen atajos como agujeros de gusanos, o tipo de energía inyectiva que haría catapultar a distancias inimagnables en momentos cortos. Séase el caso que sea, como llegasen estos visitantes extraterrestres, será todo un shock para nuestra civilización, que cambiaría todo lo que nos circunde en nuestra sociedad y pasaríamos a una nueva era. También plantea en este documental de Discovery, la interesante idea de como repercutiría nuestra tecnología, dando un salto sin precedentes. Lo más probable, que antes de entablar con vida biológica inteligente, contactemos con autómatas cibernéticos, máquinas, sondas... y es que nosotros mismos, antes de saltar de nuestro sistema solar, mandaremos naves con robots autómatas para explorar otros mundos, y seguramente esos seres inteligentes extraterrestres mandarán antes sus sondas robotizadas, antes de emprenderlos ellos mismos.
