Biblia Antiguo Testamento El profeta Eliseo 01 By 11122008a Antiguo Testamento Libros Históricos Segundo Libro de Reyes Eliseo y Naamán (12:5:1 - 12:5:27) Naamán, jefe del ejército del rey de Siria, era un hombre muy importante delante de su señor y tenido en gran estima, porque por medio de él Jehovah había librado a Siria. El hombre era un guerrero valiente, pero leproso. Los sirios habían salido en incursiones y habían llevado cautiva de la tierra de Israel a una muchacha, la cual servía a la esposa de Naamán. Ella dijo a su señora: —¡Ojalá mi señor se presentase al profeta que está en Samaria! Pues él lo sanaría de su lepra. Naamán entró y habló a su señor, diciendo: —Así y así ha dicho la muchacha que es de la tierra de Israel. El rey de Siria le dijo: —Anda, vé, y yo enviaré una carta al rey de Israel. Partió, pues, llevando consigo 10 talentos de plata, 6.000 siclos de oro y 10 vestidos nuevos. También llevó la carta para el rey de Israel, la cual decía así: Ahora, cuando esta carta llegue a ti, sabrás que yo te he enviado a mi servidor Naamán, para que lo sanes de su lepra. Y sucedió que cuando el rey de Israel leyó la carta, rasgó sus vestiduras y dijo: —¿Acaso soy yo Dios, para dar la muerte o dar la vida, y para que éste me envíe un hombre, a fin de que yo lo sane de su lepra? ¡Considerad, pues, y ved cómo él busca ocasión contra mí! Pero sucedió que cuando Eliseo, el hombre de Dios, oyó que el rey de Israel había rasgado sus vestiduras, envió a decir al rey: ¿Por qué has rasgado tus vestiduras? ¡Que venga a mí, y sabrá que hay profeta en Israel! Entonces Naamán llegó con sus caballos y su carro, y se detuvo ante la puerta de la casa de Eliseo. Y Eliseo le envió un mensajero que le dijo: —Vé, lávate siete veces en el Jordán, y tu carne te será restaurada, y serás limpio. Naamán se enfureció y se fue diciendo: —He aquí, yo pensaba que seguramente él saldría, que puesto de pie invocaría el nombre de Jehovah su Dios, y que moviendo su mano sobre el lugar, sanaría la parte leprosa. ¿No son los ríos de Damasco, el Abana y el Farfar, mejores que todas las aguas de Israel? ¿No podría yo lavarme en ellos y ser limpio? Y dando la vuelta, se iba enojado. Pero sus siervos se acercaron a él y le hablaron diciendo: —Padre mío, si el profeta te hubiera mandado alguna cosa grande, ¿no la habrías hecho? Con mayor razón si él te dice: Lávate y serás limpio. Entonces él descendió y se sumergió siete veces en el Jordán, conforme a la palabra del hombre de Dios. Y su carne se volvió como la carne de un niño pequeño, y quedó limpio. Luego Naamán volvió al hombre de Dios, él con toda su comitiva. Llegó y se detuvo delante de él, y dijo: —¡He aquí, yo reconozco que no hay Dios en toda la tierra, sino en Israel! Ahora pues, acepta, por favor, un presente de parte de tu siervo. Pero Eliseo dijo: —¡Vive Jehovah, a quien sirvo, que no aceptaré nada! Naamán le insistió para que lo aceptase, pero él rehusó. Entonces Naamán dijo: —Si no, por favor, sea dada a tu siervo una carga de esta tierra, que pueda ser llevada por un par de mulas; porque de aquí en adelante tu siervo no ofrecerá holocausto ni sacrificio a otros dioses, sino sólo a Jehovah. Pero Jehovah perdone esto a tu siervo: Cuando mi señor entre en el templo de Rimón para adorar allí, y él se apoye en mi brazo y yo me incline en el templo de Rimón (cuando yo tenga que inclinarme en el templo de Rimón), que Jehovah perdone esto a tu siervo. Y le dijo: —Vé en paz. Cuando Naamán se alejó de él y había recorrido cierta distancia, Guejazi, criado de Eliseo, el hombre de Dios, pensó: He aquí que mi señor ha eximido a este sirio Naamán y no ha tomado de su mano las cosas que él trajo. ¡Vive Jehovah, que ciertamente correré tras él y conseguiré de él alguna cosa! O Christ-worshipers! A Poem قصيدة ابن القيم عن النصرانية By MuslimByChoice Ibn al-Qayyim al-Jawziyya was a prominent Muslim jurist during Islam's Golden Age (Islamic Renaissance). Apart from his jurisdistic prowess, he was also competent in composing qasidah (Arabic poetry). Among his more famous works was a poem entitled A'obbad al-Maseeh Fi Naqd al-Nasraniyyah (O Christ-Worshipers! In Answering Christianity). This Poem is well-known in the Muslim world and has even been turned into a song. The following is the English translation of the poetry from the Arabic original: " O Christ-worshippers! We want an answer to our question [from your wise ones], If the Lord was murdered by some people's act, what kind of god is this? We wonder! Was He pleased by what they did to Him? If yes, blessed be they, they achieved His pleasure, But if He was discontented, this means their power had subjugated Him! Was the whole entity left without a Sustainer, so who answered the prayers? Were the heavens vacated, when He laid under the ground somewhere? Were all the worlds left without a God, to manage while His hands were nailed? Why did not the angels help Him, when they heard him while he wailed? How could the rods stand to bear the True Lord when He was fastened, How could the irons reached Him and [had] His body pinned? How could His enemies' hands reach Him and slap His rear, And was Christ revived by himself, or was the Reviver another god? What a sight it was, a grave that enclosed a god, Stranger still is the belly that confined Him! He stayed there for nine months in utter darkness, fed by blood! Then he got out of the womb as a small baby, Weak and gasping to be breast-fed! He ate and drank, and did what that naturally resulted, Is this [what you call] a god? High Exalted be Allah above the lies of Christians, All of them will be held accountable for their libels! O Cross-worshippers! For what reason is this exalted and blame [is cast upon those] who reject it? Is it not logical to break and burn it, along with the one who innovated it? Since the Lord was crucified on it, and his hands were fastened to it? That is really a cursed cross to carry, So discard it, do not kiss it! The Lord was abused on it, and you adore it? So [it is clear that] you are one of His enemies! If you extol it because it carried the Lord of the Worlds, Why don't you prostrate yourself and worship graves, Since the grave contained your god in it? So Christ-worshipper, open your eyes, This is what the matter is all about.
