Con la mescalina yo sentía esta sensación amorosa hacia una flor que se encontraba en una mesa donde yo vivía, y bajo la experiencia de TMA sentía mucha curiosidad de partirla para ver que es lo tenía adentro. Fue un completo cambio de actitud hacia algo de preciosa belleza. Una era una especie de actitud de reverencia y la otra una especie de curiosidad disectiva. Y la actividad era el doble, así que decidí sustituir y agregar etilo, butilo, propilo, amilo, y toda clase de grupos en esa posición. Esa es una de las cosas bellas de divertirse con el arte de la Química, que puedes agregar cosas, saber hacia donde van dirigidas y conocer si sus reacciones químicas funcionan correctamente, pero para mí lo más excitante y emocionante es que cada sustancia que va cosa es un material nuevo, nunca antes se había hecho. Así es que estas viendo un pequeño cristal sólido, el cual nunca habías visto, nadie en el mundo lo ha visto y hasta donde uno sabe, nadie en el universo entero lo ha visto, es una creación totalmente nueva. No te ha visto tampoco, no ha existido un diálogo en lo absoluto, ¿con cuanto empiezas? ¿Cuánto material usaría como primer experimento en un nuevo químico que nunca ha sido probado? Por nadie. Bueno, obviamente una dosis lo suficientemente pequeña para que no obtener ningún efecto. ¿Pero cuanto es eso? Existe una especie de técnica nueva que he desarrollado con el tiempo, la cual requiere precaución: Decides cuanto podría tener ningún efecto, y tomar una milésima de esa cantidad. Toma tiempo, pero no requieres de mas químicos pues solo usas una pequeñísima parte del compuesto total. Así que cada uno de estos materiales tuvo que ser aprendidos como un conocimiento individual, y la conclusión que he descubierto es que la belleza de tus resultados finales al descubrir cuáles son los efectos, realmente no te puedes equivocar. Tu dirías: Yo descubrí que este material causa una mejoría visual de esto, o regresiones de infancia de aquello Y cualquiera que lo pruebe y encuentre los mismos resultados, diría que estas en lo correcto. Pero si alguien lo prueba y no obtiene esos resultados diría: ¿Qué fue lo que hice mal? Así que en esencia alguien tiene que ganar.
