I find that the covers people respond to most are the most sincere and passionate ones, regardless of any other external factors. I absolutely LOVE this song, and apart from the very "new-age" message, This Is War is a melodically monstrous album. Increeeedibly fun and expressive songs to play along to. An interesting note.. we reskinned the kit right before we started recording, so the skins naturally went out of tune a little, and we had to keep an eye (ear?) on them. The snare, on the other hand, completely went out of tune towards the end of No More Sorrow (which was recorded right before this) and we only noticed it at the end of the recording of Vox Populi. This was a huge problem since I was too tired to try and "replicate" my first REAL performance, but since I've mixed MUCHHH worse recorded audio, I was brave enough to give it a go :) That's why this snare tone is completely different than the rest of the series, much less tone and resonance and MUCH more attack. Para sacar adelante el taller de chapuzas cuentan con la ayuda de Tato (Jorge Calvo), el sobrino de Manolo recién llegado de su pueblo, y de Tania (Kim Manning) una fontanera polaca "putamadre" (tal como se presenta ante los clientes). Reciben la mayoría de los encargos de parte de su "relaciones públicas" particular, el Super Fashion decorador de interiores, Tino (Fernando Cayo), trabajando a menudo en zonas de la alta sociedad, donde no siempre se saben mezclar y en las que siempre terminan hacendo gala de su campechanismo. Sus historias y vivencias se desarrollan en una castiza corrala (edificio que rodea a una plaza, accedediéndose a las viviendas desde el exterior), donde todos los personajes residen. En ella se sitúan el local de la empresa de albañilería de los protagonistas (en la ficticia Calle Lanzarote nº19) y el Bar La Molleja, sitio donde el duo de operarios y demás personajes hacen lo que quieren con su sufrido camarero, Evaristo (Evaristo Calvo), que siempre les insiste en que deben tomar algo si quieren estar allí. También se encuentran otros negocios, como el gimnasio de fitness Olimpia, una tienda de decoración La Oca... Sus historias y vivencias se desarrollan en una castiza corrala (edificio que rodea a una plaza, accedediéndose a las viviendas desde el exterior), donde todos los personajes residen. En ella se sitúan el local de la empresa de albañilería de los protagonistas (en la ficticia Calle Lanzarote nº19) y el Bar La Molleja, sitio donde el duo de operarios y demás personajes hacen lo que quieren con su sufrido camarero, Evaristo (Evaristo Calvo), que siempre les insiste en que deben tomar algo si quieren estar allí. También se encuentran otros negocios, como el gimnasio de fitness Olimpia, una tienda de decoración La Oca... La serie también profundiza en otros ámbitos distintos al profesional, dónde se da a conocer la faceta más tierna y afectiva de los personajes: La relación madre-hijo entre Carmina (Carmen Rossi) y Benito, o las trifulcas matrimoniales de Adela (Nuria González) y Manolo.
