[View \| Download]	De volta ao futuro: a identidade visual da Fundação Bienal de São Paulo Depois de quase um ano de pesquisas, que envolveram o Arquivo Histórico Wanda Svevo e as publicações disponíveis sobre a obra de Aloisio Magalhães, a área de design da Fundação Bienal de São Paulo finalizou o estabelecimento das premissas fundamentais de complementação e organização da identidade visual da instituição, que nunca tinha sido disciplinada em sua totalidade. O processo, que envolveu a recuperação do histórico do concurso que selecionou a marca da Bienal e a avaliação do seu uso nas últimas quatro décadas, propôs algumas diretrizes visuais fundamentais para a sua manutenção futura, considerando os ambientes impresso, arquitetônico e digital. O resultado é uma fiel recuperação das principais qualidades do projeto original, que foi consideravelmente descaracterizado ao longo dos anos, tanto por sua intrínseca falta de sistematização quanto pelas mudanças ocorridas no meio artístico e no consequente comportamento comunicacional de suas instituições. Trata-se, enfim, de uma grande homenagem ao trabalho de Aloisio Magalhães, que agora pode ser posto em prática de forma efetivamente consistente. Dando prosseguimento ao comportamento público e transparente assumido pela fundação, o vídeo apresenta todas as premissas que orientaram o projeto, desde a avaliação do estado atual do uso da identidade até a definição dos códigos visuais que passam a complementar o sinal premiado em 1965. I also gave my own opinion that the shooting was indiscriminant and unnecessary; some in my unit may disagree with me. That being said, this incident did cause some debate within the unit about whether or not the gunner over-reacted. Whether the gunner over-reacted is actually trivial in my argument. My argument was that we do react out of fear imposed by the chain of command and that soldiers shouldn't be placed in these situations to begin with. Finally, I have an addition to my testimony that should be mentioned here. I in no way intended to indict or defame the character of my fellow soldiers with my testimony (a point that I failed to make clear at Winter Soldier). We all did what we had to do to get home alive and I have the utmost respect for the people in my unit. My only intentions are to prevent other soldiers from seeing the things that I have seen and to keep Iraqis from suffering any longer." He tells: I am the guy tha D-D-B chose to be the spokesman for that famous "Floating VW" TV commercial in June , 1972. My name is Lew Wood, and I was doing commercials and V/O's in NYC when I was booked for the job. We shot it at a launching ramp in Stamford, CT on LI Sound. The production crew was Horn-Greiner. Director Norm Greiner. D-D-B's creative director was Tom Yobaggy. And even Mr. Bernbach was on the location! They hired a stuntman to drive the VW into the water. However, Norm Greiner suddenly woke up to the fact that I had to deliver that last line "Now, what other car gives you this kind of quality at this kind of price?" from the car! I said, "Norm, I'm a sailor, I'm at home on the water. I'll drive it in!" I splashed it three times. (We used three identical Beetles, all burnt orange in color. Splashed two of them alternately, the third never got wet and was used for "beauty shots." Swimmers went in to tow them back to shore after each take. We all thought our commercial would win the "Clio" that year, but the "Snowplow" commercial took the prize. However, the residuals were nice! After many years of searching for a 1972 Super Beetle in burnt orange with NO RUST, I finally found one a few years ago in Vista, CA, and snapped it up. I now proudly drive around town frequently and get admiring looks. Now, you know "the rest of the story!" This commercial has a surprise in it.
